My keys click in the front door's lock, and I push it open as slow and quiet as possible to not wake Ava as it's after midnight and I know she has to work in the morning. I slide my sleek black heels off by the front door and pad along the wooden floorboards to my bedroom.
After a long and fun evening, I'm ready to take this dress off and slide under the covers. Although the air felt a little tense between Gray and me, especially after I agreed to go out with Sam, I still managed to have a fun time getting to know Bronson.
