Amara's POV The elevators opened onto the executive floor, and for the first time since joining Cole Group, I wished they hadn't. Everything looked exactly the same. The polished marble floors reflected the morning light. Employees hurried between departments carrying laptops and steaming coffee cups. Assistants answered calls while printers hummed endlessly in the background. Normal. Ordinary. As if my entire world hadn't shifted two nights ago in an underground parking garage.
