IN THE WEEKS LEADING up to the workshop, the Archbishop really pulls out all the stops with the press. I field several calls from news organizations in Baltimore and D.C., talking about the workshop and giving my personal views on s*x trafficking based on our experiences in Bellamy. In addition to talking to the press, I’ve been working with Clark to drum up interest among the Protestant clergy in the area. We have about ten ministers coming, in addition to priests from twenty parishes in Maryland and West Virginia, and even one in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.
As usual, Anna has efficiently rallied the Ladies of Charity to assist, and even persuaded Bill Brant, head of the Knights of Columbus, to have his men set up the basement for the conference and handle clean up. I’m gratifie
