TEN MINUTES LATER, I arrive at the viewing room. Myerton is a small department, and on the rare occasion that they have to do a lineup, they set it up in the interrogation room. The table has been moved forward and the chairs out of the way. Angela is already there, waiting impatiently. “Nice to see you, Tom,” she says with a quick nod, then taps the intercom and says, “Send them in.” Six men, all dressed similarly and of roughly the same height and build, file in slowly. Angela says, “Take your time, Tom. You need to be sure.” The line of men stop, giving me a good look at their profile. “OK, turn and face the mirror,” Angela commands.
