XIPamela Suzzette Tyler and Matthew Benson rolled a cardiac patient into The Emergency Department while another doctor was on duty. A pleasantly plump doctor named Shana accepted the patient. She had long brown hair and green scrubs. The septuagenarian was left in her care and the elderly woman’s son stood off to the side of the ED waiting. Matt rolled the empty gurney back to the ambulance.
Pam went to the radio. “Seven oh one to base.” Damn Overtime. They had returned to work at ten because of somebody’s illness.
