XXIThe Cannonville Playhouse was not a movie theater and as far as anyone under forty was concerned it had never shown a movie. It had up until Gone with the Wind. It was a converted barn that been converted into a posh climate controlled luxury theater. They had gone from straw hat summer stock to play time of the rich in one generation. Seats ranged from twenty to two hundred dollars a pop in 1988. It was the place to be and many actors you’ve seen on TV have performed there. It was a Spring with Shakespeare. Hal had seen the Hamlet production. He never missed Hamlet. A kid who couldn’t make up his mind, it rang with Hal. He was also named after The Dane’s best good friend a stagehand had been injured in an accident and could not be moved. He had been building the boat for The Tempest.
