12 Quinn arrived at Meredith’s house half an hour later and stopped in front of the neat picket fence bordering Meredith’s garden. The fact that his mother was visiting Meredith brought a wry smile to his lips; word would soon spread around town that he was calling on Cady Caldwell, and there was no getting around it.
