18 Cady wanted the ground to open and swallow her. She’d been so happy; spending a little time with Quinn had seemed wonderful, but in the space of a few minutes she’d managed to swamp herself in a sea of misery and grief over past mistakes. It would be better if she just grabbed Churchill and ran back to Gran’s as fast as she could, and never crossed paths with this man again. Quinn was making her feel.
