Amelia’s POV
“Can’t you stay for dinner?” I ask him. It’s Sunday afternoon, and he’s getting dressed. I choose a tie and wear it for him. Perfect!
“Sorry, honey, I need to leave,” Nyx says. He looks perfect in the clothes I picked out for him. If only he stays here with me in this suit and tie.
He is about to leave. I stop him by tugging at his suit. He turns around and sees me in curiosity.
“You look so handsome tonight. Stay with me. You know today I’m turning twenty…”
I purse my lips and mumble. He smiles at my reaction, leans over, and kisses me. By doing so, he also interrupts me.
The kiss lasts for a minute. When he stops, I already forget what I’m going to say.
“Honey, I really need to leave. I have an important meeting. And I’ll stay out late. No need to wait for me tonight
