I went to them right when Xander lifted Travis back from the ground and threw his fist in Travis's face.
"Xander, what are you doing?" I screamed hysterically and looked around me for help.

Xander pulled my arm and hid me behind his back. I heard him say, "Get out of here, jerk! Don't even think about approaching her again."
"Dude, I will leave here but not because you told me to. I will leave because I indeed will leave early. But I will return. Maybe tomorrow. Right, Kate?"
"Go away, Trav. And don't forget to ask Aunt Lou to take care of your wound."
"Are you really worried about me Kate? How sweet you are." He smirks to Xander while said that.
I watched Travis leave and prepared to face Xander.
I turned around only to find his eyes dark at night, contorted with displeasure. I don't think that's unhappy. He is angry. Angry
I approached with fear. I don't know why I can be this scared.
"Xander."
"What do you think you are doing?"
I really don't have the courage to see it or even answer the question.
"Do you intend to run away from me and have fun with that damn man?"
"I just returned to my house. I didn't mean to run away from you."
"Then why did you go home with him?" he yelled at me. This is the first time a man is shouting at me. I want to be angry, but I know if I shout back at him, he will be more angry.
I touched his arm and looked into his eyes with a little fear. But I think he needs to be treated gently if he gets angry like this.
"Hey, I'm sorry. I didn't think you and Karl would pick me up. Come on in, I'm tired." I knew he was still angry with me but he followed me into the house.
"Bring the items you need, we will go home."

I woke up in the middle of the night feeling thirsty. I turned to the bedside table. There is no glass of water there. I walked to the door, checking whether my sleepwear was proper if seen by several guards on the way to the kitchen.

His lips silenced all the words I had not said. His hands wrapped around my waist tightly, making my body which was not protected by clothing could absorb the cold from his wet body.
