30 As expected a sleepless night followed my meeting with the intimidating reporter. Like a runner who felt she was just inches from the goal line, Holly was not going to let up. Since our talk didn’t slow the stampede, I knew I had to do something, but I didn’t know what. What could I do to turn the focus in a different direction? Little by little my patients were leaving me. Most came up with excuses: they solved their problem, they reached a dead end and couldn’t justify continuing, they were called out of town or going on vacation.
