40 Carrie’s casserole was delicious. When we retired to the living room I told her what I learned about Todd Balzac. It captivated her attention. I imagined her putting herself into the defense attorney’s role. With any luck, she thought she might be able to get hold of the court records tomorrow. We moved on to lighter subjects, then watched North by Northwest, an old Hitchcock movie. Carrie stayed over and slept in the guest bedroom. Saturday morning we went running in Volunteer Park.
