Chapter 2 Uninvited Guest

Alex POV

One day earlier.

I spend most of the time hunting in the woods, My instincts as a werewolf are stronger than my human side. But hold on, don't take it wrong, I'm not hunting an animal or a human for my meals. I only hunt for predators that attacking human. I was just trying to keep peace between human and every animal around here. Since i decided to be the protector of this tribe. I have to make sure that there is no victim. But this time was different than usual, it's something worse and i'm still trying to figure out what kind of beast could do such things to every innocent person who gets killed in a horrible way last night. I keep searching for whatever it is whether it's a person or an animal, i will find out along with my pack.

( Howling sounds in distance )

I heard my brother howling from distance. I howling back and gather all of my brothers to join me for hunting this beast.

"What's up brother?" Drake came approaching me.

"It looks like we have uninvited guest"

His sharp golden eyes are transforming more deeper with an icy stare.

"What are we gonna do about it?"

"let's figure it out shall we, i won't stop until i found this beast!"

"Alright, whatever you say I'd follow, lead me brother"

"Where are Zack?"

"He slept as usual"

"How could he just snoozing all the time at this crucial time?!"

"Well you know him"

"Bring him to me, I'll be waiting at the lake"

"Copy that"

Meanwhile, i sniffing everywhere around the wood. Hoping for discover the evidence so i could catch the killer but we've got nothing. Even on the dead bodies we smell absolutely nothing suspicious, it's just smell of the dead body. I wonder what it is, if it's an animal attack it would be easier for us to track, because every animal have their own smell so it's easy to guess which animal it is, the scars on their neck it looks exactly like animal bites, by looking how deep the wound it's probably big animal, it could be a tiger or even a werewolf. But there's no other werewolf around here except for us, since my dad made a deal a long time ago to leave the pack and choose to live among humans and this area was his territory, and I'm the Alpha now so it belongs to me and my family.

After a while, Zack is finally show up and we continue our journey to catch the killer. As a werewolf we could connect with any animals surrounding us to asks some information regarding the murderer of this innocent people. But we've got nothing, isn't it weird

After spending the whole night of searching, it's time to go home but not me, I'll let my brother have some rest but i will keep going and find out who might be the killer.

After a few miles away from home, i found myself in a cave which i haven't seen it before. I feel strange being around this cave, i smell a human blood from inside the cave so i decided to go in there and check what is inside. It could be the killer or an animal but still I've got no idea what it is. It is a dark and dreary place where the only sound that can be heard is the drip, drip, drip of water and bats, a lot of bats in here. But i keep going to find out. The deeper i went in the more strange I felt and the stronger the smell of fresh human blood.

I finally reached the spot where the smell came from and there was something dripping on my face, it wasn't a water drop, it's fresh human blood from on top of me and while I take a look at the upper side. There was another dead body hanging right on top of me right now. He's an old man.

We have many people make a report to the police officer, and from the data that my dad has received as one of the police officers at the police station nearby, there were several family members who are missing but we haven't found them yet, not even the dead bodies or maybe they're still alive but it's not confirmed yet. We still have to figure it out.

I have to make all my abilities useful to help those people in need, My powers and abilities is, first i could enhanced my senses - my sight, smell and hearing are enhanced beyond that of a human's.

Infectious bite – A single bite by me will cause a person to turn into a werewolf themselves at the next full moon. However, a scratch from a werewolf's extended claws does not appear to transfer the infection.

Regeneration – A werewolf is typically able to heal ourselves from most wounds. If a morally wounded human is bitten, once they turn, all their injuries will be healed.

Superhuman strength – i have superior strength and agility

Weakness : Angel Blade – we able to kill a werewolf by stabbing their heart with an angel blade.

Decapitation – Werewolves can be killed through decapitation.

Dismemberment – we able to kill him by ripping him apart.

Silver – Contact with silver can cause a werewolf great pain, piercing a werewolf through the heart with silver will kill it.

Silver nitrate – An injection of silver nitrate into a werewolf's blood stream is as lethal as a silver bullet.

Silver sulfate gas – Inhalation of sulfate gas can suffocate a werewolf.

Since I am the strongest one, I am the Alpha and I know myself better than anyone, I know what I'm capable of doing something dangerous but still I don't believe my brothers yet that they are ready for it so I decided to keep them out of danger at least until they are ready to defend themselves, in order to protect my brothers, I have to take the consequences that I could put myself in danger too while I'm fighting alone without my partners who watch my back.

Speaking of the dead body, I was planning to carry him out of here and buried him nearby but them something stoping me from get out of this place.

"Well, well, another meal are here, welcome"

A male voice speaking behind my back, he's probably the killer. I turned my back around and found out that the guy who standing right in front of me is a human, but hold on why do I feel strange about his appearance. He doesn't look normal at all. First of all his skin so pale, his eye color as red as blood.

"Who the hell are you?!"

"Well, when you know, you know, but first of all let me taste your blood and you'll find out" He finally shows me his fang and it turns out that he is a vampire.

"You blood sucker, how dare you feed in my territory and kill my people, you bloody demon!" I awakened my fang, showed him my golden sharp eyes and my sharpest claws ready to wreck him into pieces.

"Oh, I guess I was wrong, it looks like I won't get my dinner right now but how could I smell a human blood in your body if you're a werewolf, well let me guess, you're a half breed aren't you?"

"A werewolf or a half breed doesn't mean I couldn't kill you, and that doesn't mean that you're stronger than me!"

"Guess I'm right, you're just a half breed, no wonder why you care a lot about this humans, but hold on, that means I could do both, feed your human blood and then I'll kill you afterward"

"In your dream and go to hell you bloody sucker!"
