Lazar's POV The strong smell of bleach and anaesthetic was the only thing I could smell. The bright white wall made me uneasy and uncomfortable but I could push through all this discomfort because of Miriam. Seeing her pale and unconscious made my heart ache in ways I can't begin to express. I stood by Miriam's bed and watched her sleep feeling too scared to move away or lose sight of her as I feared the worst might happen if I left her side. Nurses walked in and out, checking her vitals as well as the IV drip connected to her arm. Although the doctors and nurses have reassured me she was okay and was only unconscious due to shock.
