Miriam’s POV
“You want me to learn jiu-jitsu?”
I thought he was joking when he dragged me down to the gym. It wasn’t until he started introducing me to the instructor did I realize how serious he actually was.
“Hello, Miss. Have you trained before?” She asked with a warm smile.
“No, I haven’t.”
“That’s awesome! We love first timers. Our fundamental class is starting in thirty minutes. It’s beginner friendly so you don’t have to be nervous.”
“Okay, thank you so much,” I said before returning her smile.
I felt Lazar’s firm hands on my shoulders, reminding me of his presence. “I’m here okay and I know you’re going to do great!”
