Miriam’s POV
The warm buttery smell of something sweet filled my nose as soon as I opened my eyes, while the sharp sound of my alarm burst through the air.
I reluctantly stood up from the bed, while the sweet unfamiliar scent filled the room. Like someone had assembled the entire kitchen of a five-star hotel and placed it under my nose.
For a second, I honestly thought I was still dreaming.
I looked around, but noticed nothing was amiss. I made my way outside the room and the sweet, addictive smell became more prominent.
But the view of the dining table was more shocking.
An array of eggs, toast, fruits and even pancakes were stacked so neatly on the table like it was a soft commercial. The bright sunlight from the balcony filled the room.
