Chapter 11
Saturday dawned bright and sunny. Not that Jace saw it since he slept in until ten. He’d gone to the opening night party, thanks to Merianne’s practically dragging him there. And he’d had a good time—something that surprised him—and so hadn’t gotten home until the wee hours of the morning.
Halfway through his shower he realized, with a frisson of alarm tempered by anticipation, what day it was. Okay, I know it’s Saturday, but today’s my date, as he called it, with Liam. Do I show up like always in workout gear? Do I wear jeans and a decent shirt? Why am I worrying about it now? I have to check in at the theater first. No I don’t. Everything went perfectly last night and for sure Charlie’s not going to be there with more designs for me to look at.
