Chapter 22 - Heroes ReturnRoo met Wiram and McFly the next day while Nulla waited on the sand dune. He'd lit a fire and was cooking the wallaby they'd shot on their way to the rocky hillock. Nulla watched as the three walked slowly towards him noting that Wiram and McFly looked rested and showed no sign of injury. Not that he expected any. By the time they arrived Nulla had the billy boiled and their tea poured and sitting on the sand. The wallaby still had a while to cook but it's aroma permeated the air.
The group drank their tea slowly, comfortably resting their buttocks in the small sand-holes that Nulla had dug for them. Nobody spoke as they relaxed to gaze across the desert landscape waiting for their meal to cook.
