Chapter Eleven

Aldona kept an eye on Viktorija as they went to Nýtt tungl’s hideout; they had told her as much as they knew about the group. Then it hit her; there were seven sins and three of them were going into their hideout. She could see how this could end horribly if Launcelot or Page had switched sides or they had given them the wrong information. Or if someone returned early. Nýtt tungl wasn’t a group anyone was ready to deal with at the moment; since barely anyone knew they existed to know to prepare for them. Which was the reason they were even risking collecting Page and Launcelot while the other members were gone; doing something or having a meeting, Aldona just hoped it was a very long meeting. Jumping onto the water; Viktorija was looking at it like she was horribly disappointed. ‘She only knows what you’ve told her,’ Melanthe reminded them. ‘And it’s not a lot,’ Hyacintha agreed. “Do you think Launcelot could go back?” Aldona asked Viktorija, who just looked at her with a raised eyebrow. She wasn’t threatening, both she and Azuloas thought she was as cute as a button. “Not until Etienne’s dead,” she bluntly told them, her hands behind her back and Aldona was now glad that she had washed the blood from her arm. Her dress would have been horribly stained by now. “The council won’t do anything that’ll upset the Atspoguļo heir.” And Launcelot was older, Aldona and Azuloas realised. Even if he could go back, even if Etienne was fine it, the council wouldn’t be. Launcelot would throw their careful plans off; they had no doubt that the council would be trying to use Etienne for their own gain. Now they were glad they had spoken some sense into their grandfather. If the council was running the show; that meant their leader was little more than a figure head and they didn’t want to know what sort of mess Viktorija’s village was because of it. “How many people are in there?” Azuloas asked her, moving the topic away from her horrid village and back to the problem at hand. All of them were lucky that no one had tried to kill them, since Viktorija wasn’t wearing anything to hide her face. “Three, all of them are from the Atspoguļo Clan,” Viktorija told them after closing her eyes and tilting her head to the side. She was most likely thought they were was only going to be two signatures, did neither he nor Aldona mention the third person? “Good. That means only Launcelot, Page and Montgomery are in that cave,” Aldona told Viktorija and Azuloas. That’s when he knew that no, they didn’t tell her about the third person since she was looking at them with wide eyes. So, she did know something about Montgomery. He didn’t think having her joining them would be this useful; Azuloas wasn’t surprised that Nestanha might be hiding a few things from Sashan, as he was sure Sashan was keeping a few things from Nestanha. Like the fact that there taking Launcelot in; allies or not, Grandpa wouldn’t allow an innocent man to die because no one wanted to look at an event closer than they had to. Along with not being able to control Etienne anymore, like the civilian council in Sashan continue to try to do with Launce. “Did you say Montgomery Atspoguļo?” Viktorija asked them, she looked at them like they had grown another head, and that head started telling how to do difficult techniques; like how to do Ice or Lava techniques, which Aldona and Azuloas was sure she could do once she was trained in them. “We did,” Azuloas told her. “No possible.” So, she did know who he was, Aldona thought to herself. That meant he was an Atspoguļo member from Nestanha; while was the reason they couldn’t find information about him in Sashan. They wouldn’t have any of that information, but she said it wasn’t possible. But Launcelot said Montgomery was well into his hundreds. “Why not?” Azuloas asked her. “Montgomery Atspoguļo is dead, and if not dead, he’s be one hundred and sixty years old,” Viktorija told them, looking at the bolder with a far-away look in her eyes. She would warn them if someone was coming closer; Azuloas and Aldona had to trust her with that. Melanthe and Hyacintha would also warn them, but Viktorija would warn them, since it was also her life on the line if they were caught by Nýtt tungl. “So, you know who he is?” Azuloas asked her. “Montgomery Atspoguļo led half the Atspoguļo Clan to Brahia a hundred and twenty years ago; before leaving twenty years later,” Viktorija told them, the same look still in her eyes, it was almost as if she was telling them common knowledge. Common knowledge for Nestanha Village anyway, something to keep in mind then. “The Ombre cachée at the time allowed them into the village, and now only Etienne is left. I don’t think it’ll be safe for either of them to go back.” “No one knows about Montgomery back is Sashan,” Azuloas told her, but if he had left with half a clan, a founding clan no less. Then it would make sense that someone in the Atspoguļo Clan would remove his name from the history books; making them wonder why there were Atspoguļo members in another village and never being able to find an answer. “All we could find was the village founder, and even then, someone tried so hard to wipe his name off the face of the lands as well.” Aldona nodded at Viktorija, before placing her hand on the bolder and putting a seal on the surface, she didn’t know if it would work. Viktorija almost made her jump when she placed her own hand on the bolder with Azuloas not that far behind. The seal that Viktorija was using was an interesting one. Azuloas could tell that it was draining chakra from the seals that someone had placed on the bolder, thus making it weaker. The first seal would only allow certain people into the building, and Azuloas would bet, only allowed certain people out. “Viktorija, why don’t you get Launcelot and bring him here. Aldona, you know what to do with Montgomery and I’ll get Page,” Azuloas told them and Viktorija nodded her head as the bolder broke in front of them. Viktorija nodded before bolting off, Azuloas and Aldona guessed that she knew which direction she was going. She was the sensor after all, Page had drawn them a map; so, they still knew where they were going without her. “She’s like a baby bunny,” Aldona told him. “A baby sister going to find her big brother,” Azuloas corrected. “I don’t know if that was cute or not.” Aldona shock her head and went towards her own target with a growing grin on her face. Azuloas just shrugged before going towards Page’s room, at least a brother and sister would be able to see each other for the first time in over ten years. Hopefully, Azuloas thought to himself, not for the last time.
