The encounter

Its has been a week since I last saw my mate Layla, I've been calling the diner every morning since I saw her last and each time the women says that she is not in today, so I sent Caden to the diner this morning im currently waiting for him to mind link me if she is working.

"why is mate avoiding us? dose she not want us?"

"I dont know why she's avoiding us Ace but we will go and see her if we have to."

My conversation with Ace was interrupted when Caden mind linked me.

"hey boss I just saw her enter the diner, she is here."

"alright Caden you can come back now" I tell him and cut the link off. Sitting back down at my desk I call the diner again. The phone rings four times before someone answers,

"hello goodmorning, this is the diner my name is Judy how can I help you?"

"yes hi there, Is Layla in this morning?

the phone goes silent for a moment before Judy comes back on the phone

"im sorry sir but she is not in today anything else I can help you with?"

"No thank you Judy."after that I hung up on her and sit back in my chair. We will go see her tonight at the club I thought to Ace.

Layla's POV

Walking to the diner for my morning shift, Judy greets me as I walk in

"Goodmorning Layla! now hurry on back and get ready this morning is extra busy!"

I do as she says and get ready in the back, I head out and start taking orders in my section Judy was right it is extra busy this morning.Half way through my shift the phone rings and Judy answers it "hello good morning this is the dinner my name is Judy how can i help you?" she stands there and nods then puts the phone on hold, looking at me she say's "Layla its him again should i tell him your not here?"

I just nod my head yes and get back to work. My shift went by in a flash I made 250 dollar and some change in tips this morning. I then head out to my night job at the club, entering the club Alex greets me with the biggest smile ever I walk by him smiling and waved hello then head back to get change for my shift. Im wear dark blue booty shorts, lime green button up shirt but instead of buttoning it up i tie it so half my stomach shows, underneath im wearing a white bikini top and leave the shirt unbuttoned, putting my lime green bandana in my hair and pulling my hair tie out so my long dark curls are loose, lastly I put on my favorite silver heels. Looking myself over in the floor length mirror "damn I look sexy "Then I head out to start my shift. Halfway through my shift I head back to the bar and before I knew it he was coming through the entrance my body stiffened, I knew he was starting at me I could feel his eyes checking me out. When I turn around I see him sitting at a table by himself, maybe he didn't come with the other two guys they are no where in sight, Turning back around to the bar Alex says "layla he is waving you over" I was trying to act like I didn't notice him walk in, I sigh in defeat and turn to go see if he needed anything to drink as i approach his table he looks up and gives me the most sexiest smile ever I feel like my legs would give out from underneath me if he keeps this up. Looking into his eyes "would you like anything to drink sir?"

"A drink from your lips would be nice but for now ill settle with a glass of water, my princess."Im suprised at his response, I sure did want him to drink from my lips too his looks really soft and kissable, I just nod my head at him and walk to retrieve his water, as im waiting for his water I just realized that he called me his princess why would he call me his princess? was it a joke? Star answers me "I wanna be his princess I like being called princess makes me feel happy" yeah that dose sound good to me, being his princess doesn't seem so bad I thought back to her. When I get to his table I put his water down and smiled at him. Then out of nowhere the door to the club slams open and three men with guns enter, and they were pointing their guns straight at me i foze in my spot , no idea what to do. I can't move, can't think, couldn't even speak, then he stands up in front of me and winks with his sexy smirk and positioned himself in front of me with his hands up and back turned away from me.

Josh's POV

As I stand up from my table making sure my whole body covers my beautiful princess I turn around and there standing before me is Trevor and two of his goons they are pointing their weapons at me. Ace is growling to attack them for pointing their guns at my mate."well Trevor I see that you followed me here why the hostility?"

"you know why Josh, you killed 8 of my men last week! so I've come to take your head!"

he says this with venom in his mouth and giving me the evil eye. I mind link Caden and Nichols "hey boys, Trevor is here with two of his little goons take them out"

"yes boss" they say together I smile at Trevor "well actually trev, one of your men is still alive just barely,he is hanging on by a string Ive tortured him, until i got who he worked for and why would him and his thugs try and blow up my m*******a factory"

I could see them Caden and Nichols on both sides of Trevor's men and they knocked them out, they then pointed the guns at Trevor's head, and I feel like I could finally move from my position in front of my princess. When I approached Trevor he is still pointing his gun at me despite the fact that my men are doing the same to him. "now trev, you have two options you can either take your men and leave this place unharmed or you and your men can visit my torture room. what will it be Trev?"I give him a wicked smile, he then hands his gun to me,grabs his two men and walks out cursing us as he leaves the club. I regroup with Caden and Nichols talking about what out next step was. Caden looks behind me and points at Layla "Hey boss is she okay?" I look behind me and my princess is still in the same spot not moving I hand the gun to Caden and make my way towards her. I crease her face and hold her hand "Are you okay Layla?"

She then comes out of her shocked state, she pulls back from my touch and yells at me "I don't ever want to see you again! now leave me alone."

Ace whines hurt by her words he is in so much pain. My princess turns and walks away from me. Im standing there clutching my chest, it feels like my heart has been ripped out and stomped on. I've never felt this pain before, closing my eyes taking a few deep breaths to collect myself I then turn and leave the club it takes everything in me not to turn around and go after her. This is what she wants I have to respect her wishes.

Third person P.O.V

I've come here every Thursday. Sitting in the dark corner booth, enjoying my night when I see Josh pain walk in with his men Caden and Nichols, they both nod at Josh then go their separate ways in the club. Josh sits down at a table and waves the waitress over its clear that he is flirting with her, she then heads over to the bar and grabs his drink. The doors to the entrance fly open and in come one of my high ranked men Trevor with two of his men hmm I wonder whats he doing here I told him that I would handle It. Josh stands up from his table clearly positioning his body in front of the waitress. I watch with interest as the scene unfolds in font of me.Trevor and his men stand their ground well Josh just smirks at them clearly having fun with this he is not even fazed by the fact that he has three guns pointed at him, before I knew it Caden and Nichols take out Trevor's two men in a flash I didn't even see them sneak up on them. He finally moves from his spot and stands in front of Trevor I cannot hear a single word they are saying but I know that Trevor backed down and hands the gun to Josh, grabs his men and drag them out of the club. They talk for a moment before Josh hands the gun to Caden and walk towards the waitress he puts his hand on her face and taking the other in his hand. She steps back from him and yells at him "I don't ever want to see you again! now leave me alone"

anyone could hear her yell at him, and turn to leave to what I expect is the employee room. I chuckle at his reaction as he clutches his chest closes his eyes and turns to leave the club followed by his men. This waitress here has peeked my interest, who is she? She is so beautiful and has a fiery spirt, I want her but who is she to Josh? what dose she mean to him? It don't matter She will be mine. I smile and drink my beer, enjoying the rest of my night.
