There she is my princess,standing there in the doorway of my office looking at me with love and confusion shown in her eyes.

"Layla? is it really you? am I dreaming?"I say to her she doesn't say anything just stands there looking back at me. All I want to do is go to her and kiss her. Ace is telling me I should do it while she still standing there, while she still here in the room with me. I go to her in a flash grabing her face gently I kiss her, pulling away I see that she looks stunned and to my surprise she kisses me back with so much passion I can't help but moan. I want more of her,pulling her closer by the waist I kiss her more deeply this is worth the wait it is more then I could ever imagine I didn't want it to end."My princess it really is you,I've missed you so much."I bury my head in the crook of her neck inhaling her scent she smells so good. As im smelling her she pushes me away. I whine at her action but takes a step back realizing that she is standing before me only wearing a shirt, looking away I blush not knowing where to look god I really just want to rip that shirt off her body. It takes all my control not to.Closing my eyes I inhale deeply and exhale to keep Ace from taking control. "Im sorry Layla I shouldn't have kissed you so suddenly like that its just I couldn't control myself when I saw you I had to make sure you were the real deal and not a dream."She looks at me and I could see a blush creeping up her face. "No, no its fine I mean we are mates Josh you have every right to kiss me but, I need to get back home my little sister is there waiting for me she is probably worried out of her mind since your men attacked us in the woods." I growl knowing that someone tried to hurt my mate slamming my fist on my desk I yell for Caden and he comes into the room. "yes boss" he says to me "why did the men attack my mate!?"

"well we didn't know at the time that the wolves on our property were Layla and her sister if I knew that I would of told the men to leave them alone." I calm down after he explains this to me I just nod at him. "Caden pull the car around im going to bring her home."He leaves the room and me and Layla are the only two standing here again she turns to leave I rush after her so that I'm walking right next to her as were walking her hand brushes against mine just the slightest touch from her sends shivers through my body. Layla notices this and takes my hand into hers entwining our fingers together. I press the elevator button to head to the main floor not wanting to break this moment we stand there in this comfortable silence holding hands.The ride to her house is also silent she doesn't say or do anything we arrive at her place she let's go of my hand and Immediately my hand is cold without the warmth of hers in mine. "thanks for the ride Josh" she says before closing the door. I look at her walking up the stairs to her apartment building when I felt this sudden rush to feel her warmth one more time tonight. I jump out the car and run to her "let me walk you to your apartment door I won't feel good unless I see that you are home safe" she just smiles at me and nods. We reach her apartment floor and walk to her door she stands there fumbling with her keys."thanks for walking me here to my door." she turns to go inside and I couldn't hold back anymore "Layla wait" I say and she turns back towards me and I suprise her with a kiss. I kiss her with so much passion that I have to wrap my arms around her waist to keep her knees from buckling underneath her. A soft moan spills from her throat as my tongue slips past her lips and Immediately meets hers. She wraps her arms around my neck pulling me closer to her cupping the swell of her ass,a deep moan coming from her and a shiver of arousal rocks my body I push her up against the wall next to her apartment door. Running my hand down her back, tracing the curve of her spine, she arches into my touch her hands running through my hair,pulling on it making me growl at her. I kiss down the side of her face nibble her ear, continuing kiss her down her neck she throws her head back moaning my name as she pulls my hair harder I get to the spot on her neck where my mark will be, licking the spot, nibbling it, blowing on it. I can see that it's making her go crazy pulling me by the waist,grinding her hips on mine she pulls my hair making me look at her she smashes her lips to mine making us both moan at the same time. I was lost in the moment that I didn't notice that her apartment door had opened and someone coughed really loud making us break apart from each other. Layla slips past me looking so cute with her hair a mess. once she is inside her apartment I stand there still looking at her door another minute before walking away about half way down the hall I hear running coming down the hall and I see her, my princess holding my arms out to catch her she jumps into my arms and kisses me,her lips so soft and plump.I then let Layla down and press my forehead against hers my arms wrapped around her waist. "why did you come back princess?"

"I want to see you again mate, pick me up after work tomorrow night at the club okay." smiling at her I tell her sure and give her lips a quick peck before I turn and walk out to my waiting car.

After I walk back to my apartment from seeing Josh again, Ella is standing there arms folded across her chest giving me this look that says I told you so. "I dont want to talk about it Ella I just want to go to bed." I say to her as I try and pass her but she won't budge. "Okay sit down ill tell you everything" she smiles because she knows she won then sits on the sofa I replay the event of the night after Star told Mystic to run and go home. she sits there listening to everything I say at the end she just sighs "damn you do need to rest after that eventful night. so what you guys gonna do tomorrow night?" she asks while wiggling her eyebros at me. "I dont know yet Ella maybe we will just talk and get to know each other better."

"will you tell him about our old pack?,our powers?, or why they are after us?"

"No I'm not going to tell him right away maybe further along the line I will tell him but let's call it a night and get some beauty sleep goodnight Ella" I say to her and kiss the top of her head.The next morning I wake up with a goodmorning princess text from Josh it made my heart do a somersault today is going to be a good day. Getting ready for my shift at the diner I get another text telling me that he is waiting outside for me I can't believe he is outside waiting to give me ride to work. I walk out my room and Ella is standing by the window looking out there "hey your mate is out there waiting for you" she tells me all I do is smile at her and grab my keys and head to my waiting mate. once outside the building I start to feel excited that I jog the rest of the way, throwing myself into his waiting arms,he lifts me up and spins us around "there's my beautiful princess" he kisses me on the lips and nibbles at my bottom lip "shall we?" he says as he puts me down and opens the door for me Josh is such a gentleman my face flushes red at the simple action but I get in the car anyways. He pulls up to my work and gets out of the car to open my door for me I get out and he closes the door behind me, then wraps his arms around my waist and kisses my cheek and whispers " I'll be back to pick you up after your shift here to give you a ride to your other job princess" Turning around I wrap my arms around his neck and kisses him I couldn't be happier I finally found my mate. "okay mate ill see you at 5" I tell him then walk into the diner to start my shift. "well, well look who is all red in the face and looks like she was just kissed." Judy says as I walk pass her this comment makes me even more red. "So who is the guy? is it the guy who calls here all the time!?" she says getting all excited "yes it is him and he is picking me up after work tonight" I say this with a smile on my face after this we get to work and the day couldn't go by slower its like the world was like oh you can't wait to see someone today you want the day to go by fast bam no its gonna go slow the day dragged on until finally it was the end of my shift and Josh walks into the diner and comes to the counter "hey my princess are you ready?" giving him a quick kiss on the lips I clock out and grab my things "ready mate" I say to him then we leave the diner.

On the way to the club he reaches over and grabs my hand making me smile at him. Once at the club he gets out of the car and opens my door for me and walks me inside the club kisses my cheek then heads over to the corner section of the club. I wonder why he still here not that I'm complaining I love that he is here still he makes me feel safe but I dont think I can concentrate on work with his eyes roaming over me. I head to the back to change for work and Alex greets me then nods towards Josh "why is he here?" he asks me "I have no idea but I'm glad he is" I say to him with a smile on. I ask Alex for a glass of water and walk it to where my mate is sitting and places the glass down in front of him. Josh looks up at me and reaches out and pulls me on his lap making me blush even harder. "hello my princess thanks for my water" he than nibbles my ear making me moan "mm..Josh" satisfied with my reaction. "only I should be able to hear you moan like that princess but I'm sorry to say that I have to let you go im gonna be having a meeting here." he kisses my lips and I stand up and head back to the bar where Alex has a questioning look on his but he doesn't say anything, he hands me my tray and I go right to work. A guy walks in with the most fanciest suit I've ever seen he walks straight to my mate. Josh noticed that I've been watching him, he calls me over and the guy who sat down next him orders a jack and coke.Josh smiles at me as I take the guys order, heading back to the bar to retrieve his drink once I have his drinks I head back and set it down in front of him. "will that be everything?" I ask him he answers back not even looking at me "yes that's all now go away." he is so rude to me that I hear Josh growl at him but all I do is touch his hand to calm him down then I just walk away to continue to work for the night. Through out the night I always wonder what thoes two are talking about when I look over at them they are always so serious looking like they are having a intense conversation that seems very important. After awhile the guy gets up and leaves. talking to Alex standing at the bar strong arms wrap around my waist and the most sexiest voice ever gets my attention "princess how much longer until you get off?" smiling at him calling me princess I say "not for another hour and half Joshy"giving him a quick peck on the lips I turn and start walking towards a table full of guys to take their order. My shift is finally over and I walk to the bar and see that Alex and Josh are talking and laughing with each other. I run my hand across his shoulder and back letting my hand linger on his other shoulder. "I'm gonna get change Josh then we can get going"

For the next month me and Josh have been growing closer we go out on dates, see movies we even hangout at my apartment and watch The vampire dairies with Ella. Josh has never spent the night nor have I at his place. Everything was going good until one day I go to his place to suprise him for our 2 month anniversary I was walking up to the door and was greeted by his men "hey guys layla is here!" one of the men say then the rest say hey as they continue to go about their business. Walking to the elevator I press the button to the top floor im excited Josh doesn't know im coming over to suprise him maybe tonight would be the night we finally have s*x! just thinking about it makes me flush. I arrive on Josh floor and see that his office door is slightly ajar so as quietly as I could I walk towards his door about to open it when I hear that he is with someone in there. I don't know why but I just stand there listening to their conversation.

"come on Josh you promised that you would marry my daughter when she turned 20 so we can combine out families together and be a bigger mafia!" the man yells out slamming his fist on Josh's desk. "I know what I promised 3 years ago I haven't forgotten things have changed I can't just go and marry someone I barely know." my heart skips a beat at his response I can't believe this guy is trying to force his daughter to marry My mate. "I dont care what has changed promises were made and your gonna keep your promise to me and you will marry my daughter once she arrives here from New York!" wow this guy is demanding my mate would never marry his daughter. "I am not going to marry your daughter but I will promise to give it some thought and hangout with her once she arrives,to get to know her better."My heart drops and breaks to pieces why would he see another women? I cover my mouth with my hand to keep me from crying out loud Turning back around I head straight for the elevator when I hear someone call out to me. "Hey layla its Nichols" he calls but I ignore him I can't stay here anymore. Star is furious at him and so am I without paying any mind to my clothes I shift into Star once I'm outside and run towards the woods. I stop to howl at the moon and even I know my howl sounds sad. I have to get away from here. "Layla let me take control I know a place we can hide out for a few days but you will have to stay in this form" Star says to me "okay" I manged to choke out my response.Star takes control and soon brings us to this cave it looks like no animal has been here for awhile. Curling into a ball we fall asleep by the time we wake it is well past midnight and I feel another presence around me looking around the cave I noticed there was a mother deer and her two offspring sleeping next to their mama it is such a cute image maybe this place wasn't so abandoned after all. Getting up and going around the family of deer I began to run again this time towards home where I know Ella must be worried about me by now. Arriving home Ella slams into me with a big hug. I knew she would be worried so I hug her back and tell her I'm okay. The next few days have been hard on me Josh has been texting me nonstop I do not respond he has been trying everything to get me to talk to him he even came over a few times and I had to tell Ella to tell him that I wasn't here of course he didn't believe her but he respected that enough not to try and force his way inside. One evening on my way home from the club I was walking and heard running coming from behind me I didn't think anything of it just moved further to the side as if to give them space but then the running stops and slows to a walk. Picking up the pace the runer than grabs me and places this cloth over my mouth and I inhale it I didn't mean to but then I started to get dizzy and the world went dark I can feel myself start to fall but the man catches me before I could hit the pavement. Who is this man? what dose he want? I wish Josh was here to save me thoes are my last thoughts before my mind slips unconscious.
