Chapter Four - For one night

Olivia’s P.O.V “Anya, is this a good idea for me to go to this with him? Can you not go instead? You do better socially than what I am?” I said nervously as I got ready. Lucas would be here in about half an hour. I was nearly ready anyway, just had to finish off doing my hair and get my dress on. “I think he would notice if I went instead of you. You will be fine; it is only one night.” Anya laughed. It was alright for her; she was fun-loving and confident; she was a social butterfly if you like. She knew how to handle guys like Lucas; she would soon put him in his place. I was the complete opposite of her. “What if I do something stupid?” I asked nervously. “Like what? f**k, Lucas?” She smirked. “Eww no. I mean, what if I embarrass myself?” I said, shaking my head. Why would she even bring that up? I would never, not with him I would never forgive myself if I did. And I want my first time to mean something with someone like him? It would mean nothing, and I want better than that. “Oh…Ok.” She giggles, “Here drink this, will ease the nerves.” She added, handing me a glass of straight vodka.  Yes, that would work. I took the drink from her, drinking the lot. I could do this, and It was only one night. I should get used to it since I am stuck with him for at least three months. Once I drank it, I finished off getting ready, pulling my dress on. The dress was beautiful, and I did love it. I smiled as I looked at myself. “Wow! You look, incredible babe. You do know you are going to drive him crazy, right?” She smirked. “Thank You. I don’t care if I drive him crazy, that isn’t happening.” I laughed. Anya never had a chance to say another word cause the front door went, that must be Lucas. I never had an opportunity to get to it cause she ran off in front of me, telling me to wait five minutes then come through. Why? I am not looking to impress him, when does it matter when I go through? I pulled my shoes on, grabbing my bag and started walking through to where they were. I could hear Lucas talk to her. “Damn you are as sexy as she is. Maybe I should not go to this event and stay here with you two; maybe we could have some fun together.” I hear him say. Oh, wrong move Lucas, wrong person to say that too. I paused, standing still for a moment to hear what she would say back to him. I knew she wouldn’t take long to put him in his place. “I prefer men, not boys. Oh and one more thing Lucas, you couldn’t handle me, I would eat you alive sweetie before you had a chance. Now listen to me, you try anything with her, hurt her in any way or upset her in any way you will have me to deal with, and Lucas that is not something you want to do, Got it?” She said, her voice stern. I smirked hearing her talk to him that way. It is something I am sure he is not used to. “Trust me, baby, I am all man. I would give you the best ride of your life.” He said, and I knew he would be smirking at her. He needs to shut up, Anya will not hesitate to slap him one. “Dream on. You have been warned.” She threatened him. “I won’t promise you anything.” He said. I decided I should join them before Anya knocks him out. They fell silent when they hear my heels click against the floor, making them turn to look at me. Anya smirked at me, Lucas’s eyes ran from my face, down my body before coming back up, his eyes meeting mine. He was looking at me strangely, his tongue running along his lower lip as he did. His eyes went wide, and I see him wiping his hands on his suit pants like his palms were sweaty. I looked at the ground, blushing. I not used to be getting looked at this way. “Eyes back in buddy.” Anya smirked, “And keep your damn hands to yourself.” She added. “Hmm.” Was all Lucas managed to get out? “If you want to come home, call me, OK?” Anya said. I nodded, smiling. I walked closer to Lucas, his eyes still looking at me the same way. I was beginning to feel awkward now, wish he would stop. “Can you please stop staring at me now please?” I giggled. Lucas cleared his throat, pulling himself together. “Yeah, we better go.” He finally said. I said goodbye to Anya, Anya making sure to give him another warning before we closed the front door. As soon as the front door was closed, Lucas wrapped his arm around my waist and pulled me into him, his lips landing at my ear. “You look incredible.” He whispered. The tone in his voice sent a shiver through my entire body, a tingling feeling shooting straight down my spine. I swallowed hard; having him close to me was affecting me. I wish it weren’t, and it never helped things that he smelt good too. “Thank You. You look good too.” I managed to whisper out. “Thanks, baby doll.” He said, winking at me. I let out a loud, awkward giggle when he called me that, feeling my face heat up again. I hate that I blush as much, it was embarrassing. Lucas chuckles, his hand resting now on the small of my back, guiding me outside to a waiting car. “We are going in this?” I asked, surprised. It was a black limo, I was expecting him to drive, but if he is drinking, then this would make more sense. “Yes it takes about an hour to get there, I thought we should be comfortable. We can have a drink on the way plus I need to ask you a huge favour.” He said. Lucas opened the door, letting me climb in and followed behind me, closing it over. Favour? What kind of favour? The thought of it makes me nervous. I can only imagine what kind of favour he wants to ask me. He poured us both a glass of champagne, handing me one. I knew he was getting ready to ask me his favour. “Favour?” I asked. “Yes. As you have probably worked out, I have not got the best reputation, and all these people are judgemental f***s. They are always getting on at me cause I don’t date, don’t have a girlfriend etc., I am wondering if for tonight you could um act like my girlfriend to shut them all up?” He asked. “You want me to be your girlfriend for the night?” I giggled, “How are we gonna make that believable when we don’t know anything about each other?” I added. “We have an hour. We can get our stories straight. Please? I can’t be doing with the crap tonight. You do this for me, and I promise I will stay out of trouble for the next week?” He suggested. Hmm, that could work. He gets a pretend girlfriend, and I get a week where I don’t need to go everywhere with him if he is going to stay out of trouble? “OK. Deal.” I smirked. “Thanks.” He said, smiling at me. I know we had a lot to talk about if we wanted people to believe we were an actual couple. As he said luckily we have an hour; sure we can get the story straight with that length of time. I am sure I can manage to be his girlfriend for one night as long as there is no kissing and unnecessarily touching involved to make it believable.
