I said in a confident voice: Begin the nurturing. An electronic voice replied: Received. Analyzing the beast information in the host’s mind—the Evergreen Academy faculty and student smart AI system is at your service. I felt a bit embarrassed by the long, official title, so I said: From now on, you can just call yourself Jarvis. The voice replied: Very well—Jarvis is at your service. I pulled out the resource card that Professor Oliver had given me. In this world, different beasts require different living spaces and different types of food. Cows eat grass, tigers eat meat, bees gather nectar, and dogs eat waste. Every creature has its preferred food type. I asked Jarvis: Can you produce food on a one-to-one basis based on my physical data? Although Facehuggers can parasitize common animals like cows or horses without any issue, I believed in an old principle: if a talented one isn't fed well, their true strength won't manifest. Facehuggers possess the unique ability to parasitize; how could I nurture them to be unique if I only relied on ordinary food? Since they follow me, I will give them the best of everything. Since humans are the pinnacle of all beings, using human genetic data to produce "fodder" for the Facehuggers is undoubtedly the best choice. I thought to myself: Eat my genes, my beast, and evolve! However, since the birth of this world, no one had ever attempted to use themselves as food for their beast. Jarvis searched frantically through its massive database and found no relevant data. A simple sentence almost caused the system to crash. In total desperation, it had to establish a personalized host system specifically for me. The system began announcing its steps: Received. Beginning to acquire host physical data... Beginning to analyze... Beginning to replicate... After a brilliant flash of light, a body identical to mine descended from the sky. Jarvis announced: In compliance with the International Treaty on the Prohibition of Cloning, the food has been prepared for you. This body, constructed entirely from DNA analysis and biological matter, possessed no consciousness or memory; it was merely a mass of flesh in my shape. I looked my duplicate up and down with some satisfaction; even with that vacant expression, one could not hide the striking handsomeness of this face. However, the thought of the Facehugger tearing this body apart made me feel a bit strange. I told myself: Next time, I’ll find someone I don't like to use for this. Jarvis announced that the beast information analysis was complete, and a holographic image expanded before me. It was almost identical to the Facehugger in my memory: a beige body about a meter long, with eight long legs, each divided into three bony segments, much like an arthropod. Looking at the projection of this creature that shouldn't exist in this world, I couldn't contain my excitement. I said: Excellent, this is the one! System messages flashed: You have successfully established the beast Facehugger in the taming space. You have gained the Facehugger’s absolute loyalty. The slowly awakening Facehugger did not pounce on my duplicate immediately; instead, it curled up on the grass as if waiting for an order. Although it had no face to show emotions, I could sense its primal fear. In its consciousness, I, who created it, was undoubtedly the King of the Xenomorph race. The trait Hive Mind—all Xenomorphs must follow the leader’s commands. I recalled that Xenomorphs are creatures based on a clan lifestyle, acting through the leader’s orders. This lifestyle is similar to insects on Earth; the queen is the brain, and the subordinates are the cells that execute orders. I thought that this would make it easy to control my beast. I opened my personal information panel to check the results: Host: Leon. Height 185cm, weight 70kg. Skills include Human Language and excellent athletic ability. Titles are School Celebrity and Xenomorph King. The beast is the Facehugger, length 100cm, weight 4.5kg. Skills are Parasitism and lethal venom. Traits are Hive Mind, fear of fire, and 100% loyalty. I gave my first command: Facehugger, parasitize. Without a second of hesitation, the Facehugger lunged forward and gripped the duplicate’s face, its proboscis piercing directly into the oral cavity. The reason I favored this creature was its unique hatching method; it plants an embryo inside the host and then dies, while the embryo grows for a few hours before bursting from the chest. I looked around the vast grassland and thought: Soon, an army of Xenomorphs will be born here. Now, I just have to wait. However, it was nothing like the movies. Seeing the chest-burster form of the Xenomorph literally rip the duplicate open, pulling out intestines and crushing organs before emerging blood-soaked, was a intense sensory shock that made me gag. Oh god... it's actually this disgusting in reality? Jarvis’s voice spoke again: The beast has completed its evolution. No data found for this evolved creature in the database. Please give it a name. I steadied my nerves and said: Let’s call it the Xenomorph. The system asked if I wanted to share this new species in the public database. I scoffed. Why would I share? I’m going to build my fortune on this information gap. I said to Jarvis threateningly: No! Keep it a secret. Don’t let a single detail leak, or I’ll turn you into a piece of digital junk. Jarvis replied mechanically: You have gained the Xenomorph’s loyalty. I muttered that it had no sense of humor, then observed the small Xenomorph that had emerged. It was a skeletal form with a hard exoskeleton supporting its weight, a long smooth head, and claws as sharp as pincers. Although less than a meter long, it radiated a cold killing intent much more terrifying than the Facehugger. With enough food, it would evolve into an adult in just a few hours, reaching three meters in height with incredible self-healing abilities. I pulled out the resource card and said: Fine, let’s keep feeding. The food is plentiful! A rain of livestock fell from the sky. I didn't replicate myself this time; the human genes were already assimilated. I’m not a p*****t who wants to watch myself get eaten repeatedly, and livestock is much cheaper. I thought that to increase its combat power, I must rely on battles for experience. I checked the schedule and remembered the mock exam in a week. There, I would face other beasts in combat. As I was thinking, I noticed the chest-burster Xenomorph running back and forth between me and the livestock, making strange squealing noises like a puppy begging for food. I realized my mistake; without my command, it didn't dare to eat. I shouted: Eat! Upon receiving the command, the hungry Xenomorph vanished into the herd. Blood splattered everywhere. With one bite, the acidic saliva melted the necks of the cattle like snow under the sun. I was gradually adapting to these bloody scenes. If a powerful army could be born just by feeding them some cattle, it was an incredible bargain. The resource card flashed a zero balance, but I didn't care. From today on, I will rely on the Xenomorph to dominate ever beast in this world.
