Chapter 28: Hungover

-Megan- Everything hurt. Every inch of my body ached, and my stomach was not happy right now. I groaned as I slowly woke up. I just wanted to lie here and cease to exist, but sadly, my wish was not fulfilled as Nathan came in with a glass of water and some painkillers. “Time to wake up, baby.” I groaned again, shaking my head and pulling a pillow over my head as he sat on the bed. I felt his warm hand on my back, soothingly stroking me. “Sober?” he chuckled. “Dying,” I mumbled into the bed. “Drink some water and take the pills, then we can go downstairs and eat a little.” I didn’t want to eat. I just wanted to lie here and wither away. Yes, that was my mission for today. So, I shook my head against the bed, and Nathan chuckled. “Come on, baby, you can’t lie here all day,” he said.
