Narrator’s POV---
With the maid being dismissed by the queen herself, Damien had no other way that to return to his bedchamber. There was a big Ball arranged for the evening. However, he asked Max to fetch the maid to his personal chamber to ensure that it was just his imagination!
Damien kept pacing and praying that it is not what he suspected when the attendant outside his chamber announced the arrival of the maid and Max.
“Please present them before me at once!” Damien instructed.
Within a few seconds, Max entered with a maid. They both bowed before Damien and after that Max stepped back leaving the maid stand, alone, trembling with fear.
“What is your name?” Damien asked.
“A-Adeled your highness!” the maid replied nervously. She feared that the prince would punish her.
