I woke up to cold water getting poured on me. I jumped up and alpha Gage was right there. "Didn't want you to miss the only meal you get. I need you to stay curvy for me". He winked and walked out. Great, now I get to eat dinner soaked.

I head down and sit on a chair in the corner of the dining room. I'm not allowed to dine with the others. I look up and see the Alpha and Luna staring at me. Next to them is Beta Duncan and Gamma Chase. Barron being their top warrior also dines with them. I wait quietly as one of the omegas comes around with everyone's dinner. with it being real snowy out today our dinner is a grilled cheese with tomato soup. Funny with us being wolves that's the Alphas favorite winter food. I eat it as fast as possible so I don't endure many harsh words from the Alpha or Barron.

I get up and take my dishes to the kitchen to rinse and leave. As I turn around I bump into a hard chest. I look up and see Barron staring into my eyes. I shudder under his intense gaze his brown eyes give. He leans down whispering in my ear." I bet I'll have you before the Alpha will". I stiffen as his brown hair moves past my face and he inhales my marking spot."You know I can save you from the Alpha. All you have to do is be mine". I push him off me and run towards my room. I get up to the Alpha floor and continue running until I'm in my room with the door closed. I take a couple deep breaths to calm down my beating heart. Why does he want me?

Barron P.O.V

After scrambling away from me I let out a good hearty laugh. I just enjoy playing with her. she's so modest to her beauty it drives me wild. One thing I am certain of. I will have her before the Alpha does. I feel my eyes flick to black before going back to brown. I head back to the dining room to hear my duties regarding that stupid ball.

Alpha Gage P.O.V

Barron walks in and sits down interrupting my make out session. " Maribel give us space to talk will you?" I ask sweetly. She gives me a smile before sauntering off. Directing my attention to Barron I look him up and down. He's been off lately. "As you know this year we are hosting the Mating Ball. Just like every year their will be fresh graduates looking for their mate. Most are eighteen so they will be looking hard. We need things in tip top shape. I wanna give the Silver Wings Alpha something to talk about. I hate competing with those bastards". Barron's nodding his head. "What do you need from me"? He asked. " I need you to handle preparations and decorations. It better be spontaneous. I've given this task to you because you are closer to these kid's age and must know what they like". Bowing his head Barron stood up and walked out.

Beta Duncan steps in with Gamma Chase in tow.

"I need eyes on that arrogant Alpha Aaron. We will be as welcoming as we need to be but be wary of him and his people. Your Luna has taken all necessary precautions with invites as not to have anyone suspicious of our extracurricular activities." Beta Duncan clears his throat, "I'll handle any and all security measures and I'll be in charge of patrols while Chase will keep guard within the party with a couple warriors". Alpha Gage nods his head." Sounds like a plan, let's get this done".

Luna Maribel P.O.V

After being excused from the table I went outside and around to the other door leading into the kitchen area. I quietly entered to eavesdrop. Once satisfied with everything I heard I turned around and left the way I came. We were getting hit by a blizzard so it made it hard to sneak in and out. I made it back up to our room in no time at all and hopped in the shower. Scrubbing my hair I felt someone caress me from behind. "My Alpha", I breathed. I turned to face him and took in his features. One eye is sealed shut with a scar on it due to battle, his other eye had a beautiful blue in it. his scruffy brown hair matched his beard. I ran my hands down his sculpturous chest. I hate that you chose the wrong side my love, I wish this could be forever I thought.
