The next day Aaron was gone already doing business. I wanted to learn how to fight at least a little so I found the warrior training grounds. The way this pack was designed was definitely unique. I had to cross about a block worth of trees. Kinda like a mini woods to get to it. Beyond that I found the rest of the houses I assume for the families of all the others. I walked inside the building and saw people sparring. I can't wait to get in on this. I saw a she wolf guiding everybody so I assumed she was the trainer."Hi", I said. " I would like to join your sessions". She turned to look at me and her jaw dropped. " Lina?" I just stare at her. " I'm sorry how do you know my na- ". Before I could finish I saw it. The greenest eyes I'd ever seen. Along with the blackest hair. I've only seen those eyes and hair color on one other person. Me.

I had to meet with Beau and Lou about a game plan for capturing Gage. Unfortunately, the southern packs don't want anything to do with it. They've allowed us to pass through unharmed but that's as far as they will go. " We need to send someone down to spy on the pack that he's in. Maybe we can get lee way there", I suggested. " We should each send one of our best trackers for the job", Lou announced. " Sounds good, in two days they will head out. I'll call tomorrow to start arrangements. Until then just keep an eye out. I feel like he's not done with us just as much as we aren't with him", I ended. They both left my office and my dad came in. " Son, you'll be proud to know your beta and I figured out some of his association with that pack". I smiled at him. "Good, let's hear it".

"Mom". I started slowly backing up. "Lina wait, please let me explain". I didn't give her the chance. I turned and bolted for the house. Once inside I ran straight into Aaron's room and locked the door. I could feel a panic attack starting to come. I couldn't believe it. My mom was here. I couldn't face her. After everything that's happened I couldn't face her at all. She did nothing. If she was here then she must've known I was trapped at that awful pack. I pulled my knees up to my chest leaning against the headboard. I released everything I was holding. I cried into screaming and screaming turned into punching the wall. I was so out of it I didn't realize Aaron had got the door open and was trying to console me. He wrapped his arms around me so I had my hands down to my side. I fought him on it. I didn't wanna be consoled. I wanted to feel everything and get it out. I was still screaming. Still trying to punch but to no avail. "Lina, please let me explain", he softly said. " Why wasn't my mom being here the first thing you told me". I calmed myself enough to be sat down." I will explain everything", he assured.

I've been signing paperwork all morning. I'm trying to get a new business set up and a new CEO hired so I don't have to be at a hundred places at once. Alpha job is stressful. Just when I was finally taking a mental breather my beta mind linked me. "Alpha, Lina found her mom', he finished. Shit....really. Now of all times. I've been waiting to tell her that bit. " She's closed herself off in your room and now there's banging noises. I'm worried about her". I raced up to my room and found it locked. I have a key. I unlocked it and when I opened it she was there smashing her fist into Smithereens. Blood all over the wall and she was screaming. I ran up and restrained her and tried sitting her down. She kept screaming hysterics at me. I finally got her to tell me the problem and got her sitting. "Why wouldn't you tell me?" I looked at her lovingly. " All of this has been a change. I waited to see that you were getting better. I wanted you to know that your mom didn't leave because she wanted to but because she had to," I finished. " She left because your dad at the time, wouldn't face what he was doing to your mother. I never wanted you to find out this way," I finished. Just then Sheila burst through the door. " Why didn't you tell me she was here?" She looked at me with anger. " I wanted to tell her myself all of our plans and do it in a way with so much less shock, she seethed. "Get out", Lina said quietly. " She wants to talk to me, then let's hear what could've possibly made her daughter endure all that she has because she chose to escape," she finished. I didn't need to be told twice.
