Sitting in the meeting room, we were listening to Lucas and Maya talk about Lina taking over. We all have more extensive jobs, but everyone is willing to help her. They're talking, but my mind is somewhere else.The way he kissed me and fondled me. The way he moved inside me. Things I haven't felt in a long time. His gentle strokes turned rougher as we both reached our clímax together. Laying in bed naked cuddling all night. Oh, and I can't forget his tongue dipping in "Sheila." I looked startled. " Did you hear what I said?" Maya scolded. " We're gonna do the ceremony in two days. I know it's short notice, so I need your help. " I nodded. "Of course, whatever I can do." She tapped the papers on the desk to straighten them. "Meeting is done." We all walked out, and Lina stopped me. "Mom, can we go somewhere for lunch?" I smiled, nodding. We went to a diner for some brunch. "I just want you to be happy, Mom. I don't want you to worry about me. I know he has to go back temporarily, so if you want to be with him, do that, "Lina said. " As much as It pains me to say. He needs to go back to himself. I need to be here, Lina. He will come back to me if he really wants to." We hugged and finished eating our food. I got back home, and Han was waiting. "I have to go. It seems Aaron has left tokyo." I thought he still had another day or two. "How early are you leaving?" He stood abruptly. "I'm not leaving without you. I already told you I'll have to take you with them, and then we will come back, and I'll pledge myself to the pack. " I scoffed. "I never agreed to that. My daughter is here. I have to stay and help. If you want to help... then bring Aaron home, "I said sternly. "I thought after last night you'd change your mind. I can't go a day without you, Sheila. I'll always worry, and it will distract me. " Sighing, I made my way to the kitchen for coffee. "I'm sorry you feel that way. My daughter needs help, and no one comes above her. No matter how bad my heart is screaming at me to leave with you. I have to stay by her. I spent enough time away I can't just abandon her all over again. " I was visibly shaking."Okay.....I understand. I will hurry with the message and make it back here. Aaron has his heart set, and I no longer have use in what he has planned. I'll be back in a week. Please wait for me." I gave him a long hug. "Always" was all I could muster. Then he was out the door. Only a week, I kept repeating. Only a week.
Lina P.O.V
I got started right away. I knew most of it, but the paperwork of it all was definitely killer. "Maya, I want a pantsuit for my ceremony," I instructed. "Oh....ok, I'll have it ordered. What color would you like?" I smirked. "Silver," I replied. Her eyes got wide and teary. "I love that idea. It will go well with your newfound determination." I smiled big. "Yes, it will." Aaron will know what he missed. If he thinks he can go out and enjoy the single life, then fine. I'm not stupid. I know he was at least kissed and pressed close. However, having a silver wolf, I was able to block the rest. He has no excuse. He wants to be done, then fine. I'll show him how done our bond is. I will not sever it even if he begs me. He gets to know the pain of me moving on because, unlike me, he can't block it. I refuse to be weak to any man. I can't anymore. I'm tired of letting them win.
Maya P.O.V
Lina is very determined. I'll give her that. Of course, I don't know why I'm surprised. Even in the cell, she always found a way to lift our spirits. I believe Aaron will come to his senses and come home. I know all too well about the repercussions of feeling like you've failed the one person you should've protected. I just hope that in the future, they will be able to rekindle their lost love. Goddess.....my son is an i***t.
