Meeting Von

Storm

The moon is tomorrow, and we skipped training today. I hadn't seen her all day. I had Kelley and Matthew go with her to get a dress for the party tomorrow. Kelly didn't see any formal clothing in her closet. I told Stella it was a small gathering tomorrow that we did for all our members when they were ready to transform.

Stella was not making any friends here. Even Ashely treated her differently than a sister should. I mindlinked my pack and warned them that no one would be disrespecting her. Those who do will be punished. I couldn't figure out why she was so closed off here but made so many friends with Alpha Kaii's pack. I have to admit I'm kind of jealous that they got to see that side of Stella. Even I saw how much respect Stella had gained with their pack.

Von and Issac have arrived, Robbie mindlinked me.

I'm in my office, send him up.

Von is a vampire, a friend of mine. We had problems with the blood suckers a few years back. Rouges attacked one of them and things got out of hand. A war was started. Von is vampire royalty. King of his clan.

We were visiting another pack when he and his right hand, Issac, was ambushed. Matthew and I helped them. They survived with our help, and we've been allies ever since. I didn't mind helping them and would do it again if I had to. Von would visit often when passing through. We became friends fast. It is mostly about loyalty.

I made my way to my office. Von and Issac were waiting with Robbie.

"Alpha," Von greeted.

"Von, how's it going?"

"The usual."

"I thought Vamps didn't do daytime." Robbie said.

"It's evening, and there's a type of sunscreen a friend of mine created. I can spend time out, and the sun doesn't bother me." Von answered.

I sat behind my desk.

"Have a seat. What bring you guys by?"

"We were passing through. Had business nearby that ended quicker than plan."

"You're welcome to stay tonight. We have to plan for a gathering tomorrow, so things are a little busy around here."

"Thanks for the offer, but this is just a quick visit. Just wanted to say hello to a friend." Von stood. Issac following his lead.

"There's a nice energy around here." Issac said.

"Someone new around?" Von asked.

"Yes." I short answered him. Maddox didn't want me mentioning Stella. He got possessive all of a sudden. He knew that positive energy was Stella.

I arrived back at the packhouse by dinner. Boy, did I hate shopping. I did get a stunning dress and even threw in some accessories. Matthew said there wasn't a budget, so I got to pick what I wanted. It was a few hundred for everything. Way more than what I would have spent. My usual budget for shopping was cheap or second-hand stores.

This trip to this boutique opened up an inner diva. I had fun with Kelly. Matthew was not bad company either. We got to joke around and talk about a lot of things. Finally, I felt good since leaving Alpha Kaii pack. It's a lot of jealous females in Thor's pack. Even my sister, but I don't know why.

The guards took my bags to my room. I was worn out. I slept a little better with the tea. The dream has slowed up, and I'm happy. I went into the main living area. Alpha Storm was there. I knew he was near any way I could smell his sexiness. He was laughing with a friend.

This friend had a different aura, though. I was new at this, but it was cloudy. Clearly, not werewolves.

"Stella, you need something?" Alpha asked.

The guy looked up. I gasped, I knew those eyes anywhere. They haunted me nightly.

I can see that. You have to tell him about your dream. He is a friend of our mate.

"Stella!"Storm got my attention.

"Sorry I was talking to my wolf." Storm smiled. They both stood.

"Von this is Stella. She's in training here. Stella, this is a friend of mine, Von."

Von walked to me. He was cute, a little pale but tall, well built like an athlete.

Do all of these super naturals have to be so sexy? Damn us humans don't stand a chance. Von smiled.

Is that a compliment? I heard a charming voice respond in my head. I looked at Von. He gave a nod. I smiled.

How did you do that?

I could read minds.

That's wonderful, though you should beware of this mind of mine. It has no filter.

Von laughed. Storm cleared his voice, and we both looked at him.

"Pleasure to meet you, Stella." Von reached out for a handshake. I gave him my hand. A jolt of energy hit me.

A vampire and you?

I'm half witch half wolf and some vampire. I didn't know vampires were real until recently. This is exciting.

Aren't you old enough to be used to this by now?

Give this old lady a break. My powers were blocked. It's a long story. This is all new to me.

I would love to hear that story one day.

He gave my hand a kiss. I dropped my hand nervously.

The conversation was only between the two of us. Everyone looked at us curiously. I turned and left after giving Von a curtsy. He laughed.

I went outside, and I had to meditate in my usual spot. I found that tree where I fell asleep at the night of the bonfire. It was now my spot away from the others surrounded by wilderness. I needed to figure out how to tell Von my dream. Or if I'm telling him. I sat and began my meditation. Nowadays, this is how I make all my life decisions.

"That was interesting." Von said, turning to me.

"How so? You stood there staring at each other for ten minutes." I said.

"We were talking." He smiled. I was shocked.

"I know you could read minds but she could talk back to you." I asked.

"Yes, she could. That witch was so much fun."

We headed to the sitting room where Issac and Matthew were. We chatted but my thoughts kept going to Stella. She is full of surprises.

She is like a magnet for people. Except my pack members. I've noticed no one hanging around her here. I think Ashley plays a big part of that. All that is changing soon.
