Stella
After Darren and I were done with training, I showered and changed. I met Luna at the community center.
"Stella, how was training?" Luna Zahra asked.
"It was good though my muscles say otherwise." We walked to the office to go through some paperwork.
"Darren is not pushing too hard, is he?"
"No, I've learned a lot from Darren. He pushes me, but it's for my own good. I can escape from a choke hold. " I grinned. "I managed to put a crack in the wall the other day."
Luna raised a brow. I smiled harder.
"Beta Thomas is the wall. I split his lip and knocked him down." I said proudly.
Luna laughed."So it was you who had Beta undies in a bunch. He trained with one of the warriors yesterday and was rambling on about how a girl could hit harder than them. Kaii asked Darren about it, but no one knew who he was speaking about. It was you." Luna chuckled.
" He really said that to the warriors?" I smiled, feeling good.
"Wait until Kaii hears about this." We both giggled.
After going over the spending budget for the new exercise room, for the elders who no longer shift, we made them lunch. We later helped with checking monthly supplies and just being social. It was fun. They all were really nice and told great stories.
After leaving the community center, we went into the nursery and held babies. Feed them and talk with some new mothers. It was good seeing how happy the mothers were with their pups. Luna sat and rocked a newborn to sleep while its mother freshen up.
"Stella is Alpha Storm, your mate?" Luna asked in a whisper.
I smiled at the thought of Thor.
"By the look of that smile, I say yes to my own question."
"Our wolves claimed it, but when I shift, we will have a definite answer."
"Very nice, Stella. Alpha Storm deserves happiness. He's had a hard start. He had to start his alpha roll too early, and you is his breath of fresh air. You deserve it. Make a couple of pups of your own some day." She said, handing me the newborn.
I never thought of being a mom, but holding them made me give it a little thought. Maybe one day I will have Thor as a mate, and we will have lots of babies. But no time soon, though. I had a lot to learn and see. Now would not be the time to start a family.
I was exhausted by bedtime. Alpha Storm was not at dinner, so I assumed he was gone. I entered my room after a hot shower. I saw a note on my bed. I opened it. Get packed, we leave in the morning at eight a.m.
"What? No, I'm not ready yet." I slipped on my sweat pants and t-shirt. I had to go see Alpha Kaii. He is normally up late in his office. I knocked.
"Come in, Stella." He said. I entered his office.
"What's wrong, Stella?" He asked. But I knew he already knew. I handed him the note.
"Alpha Storm was pleased with your training and felt it was time to return back home."
"Home? That's not my home. I want to stay here." I crossed my arms across my chest.
"I have no control over the matter. This was a temporary situation from the start." Alpha Kaii hands me back the note.
"Alpha," I whined like a kid. I didn't care, though.
"Go be great and meet your wolf. Once you shift, if your feelings are the same, I will have a talk to see if you can join my pack until then do as ask. Alpha Storm could be stubborn and ruthless at times, so just obey him." I blew out a breath.
"I'll try, I can be stubborn as well, and being obedient to strangers is new to me." I knew I was giving atitude.
"Please, Stella. Just do as asked and return back. Alpha Storm pack is not bad, and we are allies, so you can visit."
"Okay, Alpha." Is all I could say. I knew there wasn't anything he could do about this. "I won't put up a fight. I like Alpha Storm but I like living here better."
"And Alpha Storm is quite fond of you also. Just give his pack a try. We'll always be here. Just a few miles away."
"Yea, you're right, Alpha."
"I am. You are a bright light in this dark world, Stella. Zahra and I enjoyed every last minute of your time with us. You're special, I can tell. Don't let anyone turn that light off in you, ok?"
"Yes Alpha,ok" I said. He smiled.
I left his office and went to Liza. She was in her room at this time. She always turned in early.
"Liza, I leave tomorrow." I rushed in when she opened the door. I flopped onto her queen size bed.
"Leave, I thought you were here for another week." Liza sat beside me.
"Thor wants me back now. I leave at eight a.m."
Liza smiled.
"Why are you smiling? Are you glad I'm leaving here?" I sat up.
"Of course I'm not. Just your knight in shiny got jealous and now swooping you away to be close to him."
"Jealous. What do you mean?"
"He was steaming at dinner. I saw him throwing mental daggers at Darren when I brought your dessert." She was still smiling.
"So he is just going to make me go to his pack."
"Yes away from Darren. The Alpha has it bad for you." She stood to the door. She opened it and in came Darren.
"Liza told me you have to leave."
"Yes." I short answered him. Darren sat beside me.
"Don't be too upset. This is only the start of that adventure you mentioned. You can't have it stuck in one place."
"Yea. I know" I said dryly.
"You'll be fine." Liza sat on my other side, so I was in between them both.
"I know. I will but I will miss my only friends."
"We'll miss you too. You have to get a cell phone asap so we can chat. See how things go for you." Liza said.
They both gave me a big hug, squishing me in the middle.
Storm
It was time for Stella to leave with us. I skipped dinner, not wanting to see her. I know my wolf may be right about her being my mate. I wanted to tear that trainer apart for kicking her so hard during training. It didn't bother her so much I could see she was strong and tough now. But that didn't matter. She was too comfortable with this male wolf, and I was ending their bond now.I left her the note and returned to my room
The next morning after I was dressed and packed I met Matthew and my two warriors at the car. I didn't want to argue with Stella at breakfast. She is just as stubborn as me.
I put my bags into the Suv. I thanked the Alpha and Luna for their hospitality and got inside the truck. I saw Stella appear with her bag. She says goodbye to the Alpha and Luna grabs her into a hug. I didn't listen to what was being said. Stella hugged the servants and I saw the cook and a few others. When she made it to the trainer I held back my wolf.
Damien opened the door for her. She paused before getting in. Damien took her bag, closed the door and placed her bag in the back. I could feel the energy radiating off of her.
"You need to talk to her before we all be cooked meat." Matthew mindlinked me. "Stella '' I said but she only ignored me and the truck felt as if it grew a few degrees hotter. I touched her hand, rubbing circles on her thumb. Her skin was burning. She looked at me and I saw the purple around her irises go away. She removed her hand from mine but her energy died down and we got relief from her rage. Stella is indeed powerful, we just witnessed it ourselves.
Once we arrived Stella's family was there to greet her. Seeing them brought a smile to her face. I headed to my office. I mindlinked Kelly, one of the Omega wolves, to show Stella to her room once she finished greeting her family.
Matthew was in my office shortly after I was.
"So are you going to explain why you pulled Stella out of training a week early?"
"She made progress. She has learned more than enough. She didn't go there to join their pack. Everyone seems to have forgotten that."
"Or maybe it's something else you'd like to share." I sat back in my office chair. "My wolf is going crazy. He says Stella is our mate and having her here will calm him down. He liked to rip that male wolf friend of hers to shreds."
"Damn," Matthew said, taking a seat on the small couch.
"Does she know?"
"Yes her wolf is in the same state but our human side is not feeling anything. I don't want a hybrid as a mate. I need a pure bloodline."
"Are you going to reject Stella?" NO! My wolf growled but I sat lost in thought.
"I hope not, your wolf will go crazy."Matthew answered standing up.
"I know. I'm trying to get it together before the next full blue moon."
"Well Stella is full of power pure or not it shouldn't matter. I know deep down you don't care what she is. You need to ignore all of them teaching about being pure."
He is right. My dad and elders taught me things from the old days. My parents were killed when I was young and I want to honor them by doing what they taught me. But times are changing the world has evolved.
I let out an extended breath. Matt chuckled.
"You're thinking too hard on this. If Stella is your mate enjoy the bond. She is a catch she had Alpha Kaii pack in her clutches." He joked.
"I hear you. She is a catch. The most beautiful women I've ever seen. We'll see what happened when she transform. Our wolves would be happy."
