New friends

After cleaning the kitchen, my trainer came for me. I was due back to help with dinner after, though.

"Okay, I'm Darren. I will be showing you the basics on defense after warm-ups. In a few days, training will get harder. You will have to defend yourself against me in a spar. After defense, you will learn different attack moves." Darren looked like all business and no play. He was extremely tall and muscular. He was fit but wasn't built like a wall like Alpha and Beta Thomas. His skin was tanned, and his dark hair was in a low cut. His exposed skin was coved with tribal tattoos.

"I have zero experience at this, so give me the kiddie version." Darren smiled. "You're smiling, and I'm so serious." "Stella you got this, we do extreme exercise around here, so be prepared to get roughed up and be able to handle it." "Yes, sir." I said, getting ready for the pain.

"Stretches then six laps. Let's go."

He began strecting, and I copied what I could. I was in poor shape. This is only the beginning. There is no way he will get six laps out of me.

When I hit the bed at eight thirty, it was time to get right back up, it seemed at four a.m. I was sore and tired. I wish I had a tub to soak in. But a hot shower did me well. I was relaxed. Darren was friendly, but everyone else looked at me like a freak show.

No one even talked to me the first three days here. My personality won everyone over, though. My humor lightens the mood around the pack. Everyone loosened up around me, and I was glad of that. I couldn't stand the tight atmosphere.

I showed no fear to anyone except my respect to Alpha Kaii,Luna, and Thomas. I got that tip from Darren. He is my number one friend now almost at the end of week one. Liza, one of the Omegas, spends a lot of time with me. We enjoy good laughs together. She is quite funny and when she isn't so busy we go on long walks around the pack grounds.

Alpha Kaii is friendly and doesn't mind my jokes. He even jokes back with me. Luna Zahra even stopped and talked with me on a few occasions, like after breakfast or during training. She is a beautiful Luna. Long golden hair. She was tall and slim. Looked like a runway model. I will follow her to the nursery tomorrow instead of the kitchen. It will be a wonderful break because wolves eat a lot and I'm tired of cooking already.

"I have a treat for us." I looked up to find Liza standing at my door.

"Come in." I waved her in. I'm the last room in the hall so I had my door opened. I held my hand out. Liza placed a small white storage bowl in my hand. Liza sat beside me as I opened it to find strawberries.

"My favorite."

"Helga had a few left over, so I got a few." We grabbed one and took a bite. I did a happy dance. Liza laughed.

"Is it hard being a vegetarian wolf."

"It was at first, but I had no access to my own food, so I didn't have a choice but to eat what I had. My aunt had me studying in the woods in the middle of nowhere."

"Gosh. Are you going to eat meat ever again?"

"Yes, my wolf Isis said she was hunting the first chance she got."

Liza giggled.

"What's so funny?" Darren stuck his head in my door.

"You. Now come in a have a strawberry." I offered. He refused. Taking a seat on the floor in front of us.

"I thought you had patrol tonight."

"I did, but Alpha asked me to do something else for an elder. I finished and now I'm here." He smiled.

"A break for us all, I guess. We haven't had a free night in a while."

"Movie?" Darren asked us.

"Ok. If I fall asleep, don't be mad. It's a habit of falling asleep during movies."

"We know." Liza laughed.

"I almost watched all of the last movie."

"Well, maybe not a movie."Darren chuckled.

"You have to get up early anyway. You are shadowing the Luna tomorrow." Liza said, standing. She grabbed Darren's hand, trying to pull him off the floor. It was comical because Liza was small. She stood five feet tall. Pale complexion and have a pixie cut. Liza has lots of piercings in one ear and a nose ring. Darren stood on the fifth pull.

"Maybe we should cancel the movie until the weekend, then."

"Ok. that sounds like a plan." I said.

Once they were gone, I wrapped up and fell asleep.

After meditation this morning, I got ready quickly. I went downstairs and grabbed some fruit.

"Good morning, Luna." I spoke.

"Good morning, Stella. Let's get started. we have a round of places to get to."

"Ready." I said, following her.

We jumped into a black vehicle. Luna and me in back.

"There were two births yesterday, so we are headed to the hospital to congratulate the new mothers. Then, We have to visit a few of the elders and then check the emergency supply center. we do that monthly."

"Ok." I say back, feeling like a teen at the principal office. I didn't know what to say to Luna Zahra yet. She seemed so formal.

"Relax, Stella." She smiled. I smiled back, feeling her calm aura. She's right. I relaxed.

"There,"She laughed. "I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable."

"It's fine." I smiled. "Luna Zahra,how is it being Luna? Being in charge of so much and the responsibility you have to take on. Do you ever get tired of it?" I asked.

"I'm an Alphas daughter. My mom trained me for this role since birth."

"That young." I chuckled.

"Yes, that young. I've been Luna since meeting Kaii at an alpha meet. I was eighteen. We mated, and the Luna role felt natural. His pack welcomed me with open arms. Being Luna is like being mother to a thousand wolves. I make sure everyone is good and have what we need here."

"Do you know every wolf in this pack?"

"Yes. We have a bond. When you join a pack and pledge to your alpha, you will be connected to them. Do you plan on joining Alpha Storm's pack?"

I smiled, thinking of Thor.

"Uh, oh, someone has a crush." Luna chuckled.

"I do. I call him Thor. " I smiled cheesy.

Luna laughed. "He allow you to call him Thor. The Greek God Thor."

"Yes, him. He hasn't corrected me yet. But that is a handsome wolf. He smells like cinnamon and sugar. My favorite." Isis purred. Finally waking up.

"I'm surprised. He's always so serious and never smiles. He visited a while back and helped train the pack."

"He has a beautiful smile."

"Well, I guess I chose right letting you shadow me. You will need the training if you become Storm's Luna." She giggled.

I smiled at that thought. Storm's Luna
