Stella "I'll miss you a bunch, Aunt Kara. Thanks for all your help." We hugged tightly. "You're quite welcome. I told you how to reach me when you need me. I'm just a hop away." She pulled away, looking into my eyes. "Yes, I know." "Do your best, and don't let anyone treat you less than you are. Wolves can be intimidating. You ate strong and don't take no shit." "Of course I'm not." Aunt Kara smiled, stepping back. "Most of all, have fun. Enjoy this experience, my dear." She opened up her portal and stepped through. I was going to miss her but I'm ready for this next adventure. I didn't even get a chance to see my family. They were all gone when we got to my house. Aunt Kara got word a few days ago that I was to go to Alpha Thor's allie pack. I didn't mind one bit. I wanted to explore and meet new people, but seeing Thor glorious body again wouldn't have hurt. It's best to have distant, though, because I for sure would have jumped that bone. Im a senior virgin. He could have his way with me. Isis wagged her tail and grinned at my thoughts. I was able to pack a bag before Thomas from the Strong Hawk pack was at my house to pick me up. He was Beta to Alpha Kaii. He was humongous over 6,4 (I'm guessing), and built like a brick wall. He had tanned skin and long black hair that was pulled into a ponytail. He looked dangerous. He didn't give me a bad vibe, though. I had a sixth sense that I learned I had when I was with Aunt Kara. I could feel auras. When other coven members dropped by, I could tell which ones were friendly and the ones that were not. Klover was definitely a hater. She didn't like me so much, and I felt the dark clouds around her when she visited. I quickly let my aunt Kara know not to let her near me again. I didn't like the feeling one bit. Thomas was quiet, and his cloud was white and bright. He only told me his name, and we rode in silence. He didn't seem much of a talker. It was a long drive for me, an hour there. I'm so nervous, Isis. I would be around real wolves. You would be fine. Just respect the Alpha and Luna. They won't take your jokes so well, so lay off it. You don't like my jokes, Isis? I like your sense of humor, but we have work to do. All work, no play Exactly so I masked your scent well, I hope. You have, but it would be fine for now. For now? Yes. Isis said before walking away. Thomas walked me to the Alpha office. We were allowed in after a quick knock on the door. "Welcome to our pack even though it is temporary." Alpha Kaii greeted. I bow my head, showing respect. Another giant. Are wolves always this big and good looking. I didn't stare because he is mated, and I learned from Aunt Kara not to look too hard and mated wolves. Jealousy is really bad around them. "Thanks for allowing me to be here." "You have three weeks here. You will be in the Omega quarters. You start work in the kitchen in the morning. Everyone here pitches in and has a job. Helga will teach you what you need to know. We take our duties seriously, so I would expect you to do as you should." Alpha Kaii told me with a smile. His clouds were also bright. The atmosphere was light and calm. I didn't feel one negative zap. Yes, with negative energy, the charge in the air sends off little zaps. I couldn't even explain why if I wanted to. It's just part of my powers, I guess. Aunt Kara said there was more to come. "Yes, Alpha." I replied. "Thomas, take her to Helga. And I thought you had your wolf?" Alpha Kaii raised a brow, giving me a questioning look. "I do. She is just resting." He nodded. We left the office. Good to know I hid my scent well. Thomas showed me to the kitchen. "Helga. This is Stella. She's all yours." "Thanks, Thomas." He looked at me and walked away. "You're welcome is what you say," I whispered. I heard a growl. Damn it, stupid wolf ears, They can hear everything. I'll keep that in mind. I should know this since my senses have improved since Isis came forward. "Welcome, Stella. I will show you your room now." Helga smiled, turning on her way without looking to see if I was following. Helga is short and stout. She has bright brown eyes and a pretty smile. She showed me out a back door that led to a two story cabin. We walked inside and I saw a living area. A small kitchen and other doors. Helga led me upstairs to a room. "This is your room. Once you are settled, come back to the kitchen, and we will get started on lunch for everyone." Helga said, leaving. "Okay, thanks, Helga." Once Helga left, I unpacked the few things I brought. I didn't realize I had lost so much weight with Aunt Kara. All of my clothes were too big but thank goodness for drawstrings. I place my clothes in the small dresser. The room was a decent size for one person. Enough for the full bed and dresser. I wish I had my own bathroom, but I saw a shower room on my way to my room. I guess we share. I left to the kitchen. I was excited to be working. I like being occupied. As soon as I hit the door, the food smell made my stomach growl. Meat, I haven't had a steak since I was home months ago. Eric held a barbecue for a few of his colleagues and friends. It was delicious. I wouldn't dare eat it now; it would be too heavy to digest. Aunt Kara had me eating lean chicken and Turkey for a few weeks and then eased it to no meat. It wasn't hard after the first week. It takes lots of willpower. "Here," Helga handed me a knife to cut the vegetables up. I went to work. After I was finished preparing lunch with Helga, the Omegas working as servers, Jessie and Liza, took it out to be served. Helga offered me lunch. I ate the carrots with ranch and apple slices. I will continue to eat light until my wolf is out. I had to keep my body clean, Aunt Kara said. Until I can control my powers better. Meat and sugar clouds my brain, she said, but as soon as the full moon comes. Then the steak is no longer safe. I will eat as much as I can handle.
