Stella
I navigated my way to the table full of drinks. Grabbing a mini cup of red liquids. I turned watching as a few of Ashley's girl friends, and a few other guys joined Ashely's little group. I loved Ashley, but she cares too much about fitting I and knew she would let their snobby comments slid. She never shut down any of her stuck-up friends in school, and I'm sure she wouldn't start now.
They all looked my way, so I gave them a wave and a curtsy. Ashely shook her head, clearly embarrassed already by my actions. I smiled, but it quickly faded when I realized Robbie was clearly giving them the babysitting joke. They all let out in a fit of laughter, eyeing me. But who cares?
I toasted my shot to them before turning it up. I winced at the burn. I was not a drinker, but I plan on changing that tonight. I also plan on mingling and having fun for a change. I took two more shots, ignoring the burn that went down with the colorful liquids.
I am really going to make this my first drunk experience. I grabbed a cup to go and walked away from the table. I was not going to be a wallflower tonight.
I looked around. The bonfire was huge, letting off heat, removing the slight chill in the air. There were a lot of friendly faces. I smiled back and spoke to a lot of people who spoke to me.
I wandered around taking in the environment. Other than Ashley's rude crew, everyone seems cool. I couldn't believe how beautiful and hot everyone here is. I'm the only person here with any body fat, but hey, I don't mind my cushion.
Different groups of people were laughing, talking, and goofing around. I walked to what I guess was the dance spot since everyone here was dancing. I took my shot and disposed of the cup before I joined the group who was dancing. I love to dance even if I'm not the best dancer.
Normally, I'll have my own private dance party in my room. Dancing is one of the things I enjoy doing besides reading my books and working as a self-employed web designer. Computers are my thing, and I'm pretty good with technology.
Tonight, I was stepping out of my box and having fun. I closed my eyes and danced to the tune, feeling carefree for a change.
After the song was over, I looked around me to see more people dancing. "Hey, you're a pretty good dancer."
"Thanks." I smiled at the pretty women next to me. She is beautiful with long black hair and tall and athletic. She was group dancing also with few other people.
"Melody," she yelled, her name over the music.
"Stella," I replied back. She smiled before getting spun away by a beast of a guy that was in her group. I continued to dance. Random people joined me. I laughed at a few of their eccentric dance moves, but we were having a blast, and that's all that counted.
