My nerve endings still shrieked from the pain by the next evening. For the sake of my sanity, I knew I should take a break from my nightly near-electrocutions. I also knew that my uncle had set it to a level that wouldn't actually kill me. If I could tolerate the pain, I could possibly get all the way to his office.
