Jeremy and I sat on my bed, crossed-legged, and between us were the photo albums from the box I took in Grandmama’s bedroom. My eyebrows knitted, seeing five unfamiliar photo albums in the box. I have seen most of them, but never the other five. When Jeremy asked where my photo albums were, I pointed him to those with cute hello kitty stickers. While he enjoyed looking at my baby pictures, I made myself busy checking my mother’s photo album, starting from the one when she was still a baby.
I have often seen them as if Grandmama wanted me to remember everything about her from the time she was born until she grew up, but all her pictures were taken until my mother was twenty. After that, Grandmama had no pictures of her anymore.
