Anna took the trouble of searching through Emmet's socials. she rummaged through his social accounts, Even googled him, yes, the Gray family was that popular. of course they had personal profiles on Google. And of course Emmet's scandals popped up on every blog and page. There were different pictures of him leaving clubs,guest houses,hotels and bars with different women each and every time. She could not help but admit that he was handsome,so handsome, so smug and he had the face of an arrogant aristocrat,like something out of the Greek books of mythology.
Jet black hair,cold blue dewy eyes, as hard and intense as his father's eyes. Full plump lips,pink and pursed.
She could tell from the pictures that he was tall. she could also tell that he was a spoilt rich kid with no regards for any one but himself.
How was she going to live with him,how was she going to change someone like that.
She kept going through his i********: page until she got to the part where he had seemed like a once responsible person. There were pictures of him and his brother. There were also pictures of him and his family. But these were dated quite a few years back. She went back to Google Emmet Gray brother and Liam Gray popped.
Liam Gray was the first and oldest son of John and Mary Gray. He had died in a car crash five years ago.
Her heart suddenly sank at the thought of it. she could tell that they had been close;Liam and Emmet.
Must have been hard for him dealing with all that grief. Perhaps that was why he was living the way he did.
It was so obvious that he was having a hard time coping with his brother's death.
It is one thing trying to help him come back to him self, it was another thing being his wife.
She had just had a very messy break up. Her boyfriend had cheated on her with her supposed so called best friend. And he had blamed it on her negligence, her absence and busy-ness. Anna laughed at the ridiculousness of it all.
while she was out here fighting and struggling to save her father's business, her boyfriend was hooking up with her best friend and blaming her for it. Her life was a mess right now and yet here she was about to throw her self in to an even deeper mess. It's only been two months since she broke up with Nick and now she was suddenly getting married to a broken Emmet Gray. was she crazy?
She had made up her own terms of agreeing to this contract marriage and they would all have to agree with it or she would throw it all in the mud. Just a year,she would put up with him for just a year and then she would call it quits.
The only reason she was currently still considering this madness was Emmet's brother Liam. she could not fathom the pain they had all been through and how hard it was for all of them.
She was going to try as much as she could but if nothing works out, she was going to let it be.
The drive to the Gray Estate was so quiet, every one lost in their own thoughts. Her mother looked so pale and faraway while her father occasionally reminded her what the meeting was about, how she should behave and the reason they were doing this.
" please Anna dear.you are my only hope. I am sorry it had to be this way"
she wished he would just shut up already.
They were ushered in through a magnificent electric gate and they drove up the pathway to the main entrance of the beautiful mansion the Grays called home.
The butler ushered them in to the house and welcomed them.
He took their coats and welcomed them in to the main hall. They were asked to seat and offered refreshments.
she had no appetite and could barely swallow her wine.
It was not long before John and his wife came to welcome them. There was no sign of Emmet. she was agitated, did he think this was child's play.
" sorry to keep you waiting, let's have lunch first.'John suggested.
They all piled to the dining room.
Half way through lunch, they all heard the jeering loud noise of a super bike drive in and stop.
She held her breath,she was about to meet Emmet Gray.
