All extractions began the same, and this was no different. The acronym Colton had learned in training so many years before was APE: Access, Plan, and Execute. Before he even stepped off the elevator, Colton was already thinking of how he could make this extraction one of his quickest, most efficient yet.
The wall speakers sounded again: “Extraction Alert. Immediate presence needed on Extraction Deck Four. Repeat, Extraction Alert: Immediate presence needed on Extraction Deck Four.”
He stepped into his private office and took a seat at his computer. As always, the extraction alert was already flashing on his monitor, and after a quick swipe of his finger across the security pad, the file opened completely, and he was able to access the current mission.
