Pokemon: Advanced Adventure

A New Rival!

This was the final day Black would spend in Viridian Forest and he was sure that Metapod and Kakuna were going to evolve. Their power levels reached 25 yesterday after some training.

As he continued his morning jog with Froakie, He encountered a trainer.

“I am Bug Catcher Samurai, Where are you from?” Samurai asked.

'Ah! I remembered this guy, Isn't he the one with Pinsir and Metapod?' Black thought.

“I'm from Pallet town,” Black replied.

“Hey, Let's have a battle right now to determine who is stronger! The winner gets a 1000 Poké,” Samurai said.

“Fine,” I said.

We made some space between each other and Samurai took the liberty to send out Pinsir first.

“Go! Pinsir!” Samurai ordered and the Pokémon burst out of its Pokéball, it seemed that it was ready for battle.

“Take the field, Pidgey!” Black ordered as he threw a Pokéball into the air, The Pokéball opened and Pidgey came out.

It raised its right wing at Pinsir and told it to come. Black scanned Pinsir.

“Pinsir is a bipedal, coleopteran, insectoid Pokémon with a wide, dull-brown body divided into segments by thin lines. On top of its head is a large pair of gray, spiky pincers on top of its head. In its mouth are many long, flat teeth arranged horizontally and it has triangular eyes. Capable of seeing color to some degree, Pinsir appears to be attracted to the color green. Its legs are short and thick, while its arms are long and thin. It has three claws on each hand and foot; two of its toes face forward and one backward.

Pinsir can use its pincers to crush, toss, bludgeon, or tear opponents; lift things twice its weight; and shatter logs. Captured prey is kept in place by the piercing thorns and sheer strength of Pinsir's horns and will not be released until they are torn in half. In addition to hunting prey, Research has shown that it enjoys tree sap. Pinsir lives deep in the temperate forest and jungles, where it burrows underground or hides in the treetops on nights cold enough to render it immobile. In Alola, it has a rivalry with Vikavolt and gets along with Heracross. Pinsir are known to judge each other based on their pincers. The pincers determine its popularity with the opposite gender based on how more thick and impressive it looks.” The Pokédex reported.

“Pinsir Use Tackle!” Samurai ordered, Pinsir ran towards Pidgey aiming to tackle the Avian Pokémon.

Samurai thought of a plan, Pinsir knew Tackle and Bug Buzz.

Before the Tackle attack could land, Pidgey spread its wings and flew into the air, dodging the attack.

“Alright, Use Bug Buzz!” Samurai ordered.

Black knew Pidgey wouldn't listen to it so he didn't even bother to give it an attack.

Pidgey spread its wings and they glowed, It smashed them on Pinsir and Pinsir hit the ground with a plop.

“Pinsir! Capture it with your horns!” Samurai ordered. The smoke suddenly cleared as Pinsir jumped up and captured Pidgey with its horns.

“Finish this off with Bug Buzz!” Samurai ordered, Before Pinsir could end it. Pidgey spun around and twisted Pinsir in the air.

'Smart!' Black commented.

It broke free and tackled Pinsir, Pinsir fainted.

“Ah! Pinsir, return to your Pokéball!” Samurai ordered while raising up Pinsir's Pokéball. A red light illuminated over Pinsir as it got sucked back into its Pokéball.

“THIS IS MY LAST POKEMON! METAPOD, GO!!!” Samurai ordered with utmost foolishness. He threw the Pokéball into the air and an average sized Metapod burst out.

'Even my trainer's Metapod is larger than that.' Pidgey commented.

It thought to end this battle with one attack seeing that he would battle a Pokémon which was immovable.

It spread its wings and flew into the air before flying down at breakneck speed.

'Is it crazy?!' Samurai thought as Pidgey continued descending. It landed on Metapod, creating a big explosion.

Metapod fainted and Samurai reluctantly gave him a thousand Pokédollars because of their agreement then directed Black in the direction of Pewter city.

“Hey, Samurai. Why don't you participate in the Indigo League? You've really got talent.” Black said.

“You think so, Thanks...I'll start off with Pewter city gym once I buy some new clothes,” Samurai said, “By the way, My name is not Samurai. I'm William, What about you?”

“I'm Black,” Black said.

“Well Black, You're my rival now.” Samurai said before running off.

Black headed to Pewter city.

---PEWTER CITY---

Pewter city was large and Black saw that it wasn't as large as Viridian City though but it was still big. This is where he would battle Brock. He went to the Pokémon center to give his Pokémon a check-up, After Nurse Joy finished healing them. She told him he could use the arena behind the Pokémon center for training.

Black went to the arena behind the Pokémon center, It was a standard arena.

He sent out all of his Pokémon.

His Pokémon burst out of their Pokéballs and immediately began their training.
