Scary Night.
So dark is the night.
With things crawling around.
Noises come and fight.
With your mind without a doubt. Footsteps are heard wherever you are. It does not matter if they are far.

For a hundred years now, the rumors about the death of the Alpha kings' son hasn't ceased from spreading, it keeps spreading like a wide fire. A lot keep saying different stories about the cause of his death, but none seems to be the truth. Each time I try to believe one story, another comes, totally different from the other. I have gone so far as to ask those old men and women whom I guess must know about this great history, but honestly, they are just the same.
I tried asking mom and dad, but whenever I do, they'll warn me not to raise the topic ever again. It's okay not to ask, but when it comes to stuff like this, it's definitely not okay to stay calm without asking. I mean, I have to, I'm a human for crying out loud!
I laid down on my bed, squeezing the duvet around my body. I was shivering from the cold, and the creepy sounds I heard from the outside were only making matters worse. I tried not to think about any thing, especially not about the rumors, but it's all in my head, like a permanent thought. Mom had turned off the lamp light, but I had to turn it on. No, I ain't ready for the shadows at night, things seem to be getting scarier these days.
My eyes were growing so heavy, and I couldn't hold back the sleep. Not wanting the sleep to leave me, I shut my eyes tightly, letting nature take over me. I was halfway to a deep sleep when I heard a loud voice cry; "They are Here!"
I jerked up, jumping out of the bed to the window, staring out to the street. I could see a lot of people running helter-skelter, some with their goods, while the others had nothing with them but their legs to run. I was so damn confused why they were running. Who is coming? Was all my empty brain could think of at the moment.
Just then, my door opened, mom and dad walked in looking devastated. Okay, I was hoping to get an answer, but with the look on their faces, I'm definitely not getting any. "What's going on?" I asked, curiously.
"It's the Moonlight Pack, they are here." Dad finally said.
Again, I looked out of the window, then I saw groups of men riding on horses approaching our pack. I felt the growling sound of my wolf as it alerted me that I was staring at danger itself. For years, my pack has been living in peace, without trouble, without a single war. But tonight proves a new page of fate for us.
"Why are they here?" I asked dad as he approached my window with mom behind him.
"I'm not sure, but whatever it is, I doubt it's a good thing." He gave me those threatful replies which told me how true my wolf was when it growled.
"Did you make a deal with them? Or is there any ugly past you shared with them?" I noticed how silent dad got and I was beginning to wonder if truly he had made a deal with the Moonlight Alpha.
"No. He once said he was going to take over my pack, I think that's what he is about to do."
I was growing scared at each word he said, I wasn't ready for such a night. I wasn't ready to face my death, I just turned eighteen two months ago, I still have a long way to go. I shook my head, there's got to be a way out of this. If people are gonna die, not every one will.
"We have to do some thing, dad. We have to find a way out of here to stay alive." I suggested.
"If there's any one to leave, it's you, Sophia. I can't leave my pack, I am their Alpha, and they need me. Leaving only means I am being a coward."
I looked at mom to help convince him, but she made a face which told me that she can't. "I'm sorry, Sophia, your safety is for our own good. We can't leave the pack all in the name of the Moonlight, it isn't unfair of us."
I was having this feeling that tonight was the last I will ever see them. My fears were becoming greater than I feared. I wish there was a way to get away from this whole s**t, is this actually our last? Tears tickled the side of my eyes, blurring my view as it slowly rolled out of my eyes. We were interrupted by the loud sound of fire. We looked out of the window, one of the homes was on fire, then another, and another with gunshots accompanied.
Guns?!
Dad quickly left the room, mom followed after. I was about to leave when she purposely shut the door close, locking it from the outside. I banged on the door, yelling for her to open the door but she didn't. I rushed back to the window, the entire pack was becoming a lack of fire on earth. The men on horses stood before my house. Then, the man in the middle spoke in a loud voice;
"Mr Slate, I order you to step out!"
I was scared to stare out of the window or they're gonna blow my head off or something. I heard him say it again. "Mr Slate, you have one minute to show up or I do what I don't wanna do!"
"What do you want, Andrey?" I heard dad say.
"Remember our deal?" He asked, "It's time I have it."
Deal? But dad told me he never made a deal with him. Why would he lie to me?
"I will give it to you, but you have to let my people live. They have no business with this."
"I don't think so. More of my men are coming, and when they arrive, every single one of you will be coming with me, and that's starting from you."
