02~ Run. Sophia. Run! My heart skipped a beat, and my wolf was growing more uncomfortable with the environment. I heard noises from afar, when I checked the window, I could see more men on horses running into the village. Why is this happening now? What has father brought to us? I held my chest, trying to breathe. No, not now. I noticed dad was kneeling on his feet since that was what Alpha Audrey had asked him to do. He didn't think twice to do so, he was only trying to protect his pack by playing silly. Mom barged in, looking twice scared as I am. I wanted an explanation, I wanted to hear whatever reason it is to why all these are happening. But despite how eager I am to know, mom would never give me an answer. "Sophia, you have to leave." She said in tears. "What did father do this time?" I questioned. "What has he brought unto us?" "Sophia, I hope I can explain it all to you in detail but now is not the right time. You need to stay alive for us, for the pack. You have to leave and find help." "I'm not leaving." I refused. "I'm staying here. Whatever Alpha Audrey is about to do, I am ready to face it too." "No, you are not." She said, like she was looking directly into my soul. I wasn't ready, I was freaking scared as hell, trying to prove the brave girl I ain't. "That's why you have to leave." "But..." "No more buts, and no more questions, just do as I say. Understood?" I made no comment. "Alpha Audrey is gonna take us, but he shouldn't take you. If you aren't able to find help, then stay far away from here. You don't need the clothes anymore, you just have to go. Stay alive for me, for us." She kissed my forehead. "Now go! Run, and never turn back." I left my room in tears. As much as I was scared to stay, I hated the fact that I was leaving without saying goodbye. I hated the fact that I wasn't gonna see my parents, my home again. It's me, running like a coward into a no man's land. Is this my fate? I followed the basement which led to a secret tunnel only I and my parents knew about. Just like mother said, I ran with the clouds of tears in my eyes, but I tried not to stop. I have to stay alive, I have to survive this or else they'll be gone forever. I successfully ran out of the village, but I was still in the territory. My legs were growing weak, I wasn't a good runner, that's why my wolf hasn't been active lately. The only thing my nose could sniff was the smell of the burning smoke in the air, releasing the smell of danger. As I kept running tirelessly, I kept crying for my home. It's gone... Just like that? I tried to look back but mom's words kept ringing in my ears; "Stay alive for me, for us. Run, and never turn back." I don't know where I was going, all I know is I am heading some where. Somewhere far from Alpha Audrey and his men, some where far from that burning fire. My heart was beating so heavily, I might end up collapsing any moment from now. But I have to keep going, I have to keep running. I can't stop, no, not yet. I must stay alive. I have to. I realized I was out of Silver Stone pack, my territory, I felt a bit relieved of my safety. I was weak and tired, and so was my wolf. I couldn't run any more, I needed a break... to rest. I turned back, looking at my home. It's as if the flames of fire were getting bigger and wider. Why now? Why does it have to be my home? My people... My family. The tears were becoming uncontrollable, I fear it would certainly make a pool of ocean. "No. No. Nooooo!!!" I screamed, falling on my knees. * Writer✓ * He was searching for a prey to hunt, to feed on when he heard the loud cry of a girl. He was alerted by the voice, causing him to make a sudden stop at what he was doing. That voice. His wolf growled, tempting him to search for the one who owns the voice. He left what he was doing, heading to the direction of the voice. He ran and ran, not stopping for any reason. He was eager to save the voice, like that voice belongs to someone so close to him. He got to a certain place, but he couldn't see the girl, the very one who had screamed. Nevertheless, he wasn't gonna give up, he has started the run, he has to get to the end of it. Her voice kept echoing in his ears repeatedly, over and over and over again. Now, it's not just the scream, he could hear her weeping silently to herself. And the closer he got, the louder it became. He was losing it, he was losing his mind to those cries. What's happening to him? Now, the voice was much closer than he thought. He stopped running, now he is walking. Slowly. Quickly, not to scare the young lady. He stood behind her, watching as she silently cried to herself. He could feel her pains, burning deep inside of him. The hurt, creating a visible hole in his heart. Deep inside of him, he wonders why he was suddenly feeling this way towards her, towards some one he doesn't even know. He walks closer, standing before her. "Hey." On hearing the deep domineering voice, Sophia quickly wiped off the tears on her face. "Look at me." He ordered. Sophia couldn't resist his voice, they were the deepest thing she has ever heard. So authoritative that she couldn't tell why her body was betraying her. Sophia's jaw dropped open when her gaze met with his gorgeous face. She was drooling over him as she admired and observed his well sculpted face, his pointed nose and Italian blue eyes. His lips were puffy and tempting to kiss. His curly hair was tangling over his forehead and goddammit his chest. His bulky hairy chest was on display through his shirt that was left open and unbuttoned that she almost forgot she had lost her home.
