"Guys, I’ll be learning from Daelan," I announced as soon as I made it back to the bleachers. My voice came out more confident than I actually felt, and I could already see the way Nathan’s face tightened.
"Why from him?" Nathan asked, the irritation in his voice sharp enough to make me raise an eyebrow.
"Why do you look mad about it?" I asked, looking straight at him with confusion. I had noticed his reaction since Daelan saved me, and I somewhat prayed he could relax a moment as I recalled his behaviour earlier back at that beach party.
