Cassie's POV. The music was still loud behind me, the beat pulsing through the sand as I walked closer to the edge of the water. The beach had thinned out a bit and the crowd were starting to dwindle a little, but the party hadn’t entirely stopped. I sat down on a cooler stone, my toes brushing against the cold sand, and pulled out my phone. The screen lit up in the dark, and my eyes narrowed when I saw the time— 3:07 AM.
