Cassie’s POV The moment Daelan leaned in, everything else felt like they disappeared. The hum of the bar, laughter and clinking of glasses. Everything slowly faded. All I could register was him—his scent wrapping around me, dark and intoxicating. That mix of sandalwood cologne and the sharp edge of whiskey on his breath.
