Daelan's POV. The place was already pulsing with energy as the band kicked off the first song, a loud riff of guitars and drums slicing through the tension of the evening. The entire beach lit up with excitement. My eyes occasionally snapped towards Cassie. She was standing with Sandy, laughing at something, her head tilted slightly as the music shifted into a louder beat. I tried not to look too long, turning away and acting like I was scanning the crowd. The evening lights blinked through the sky, and people filled the space with movement, clapping, whooping, dancing like the night belonged to them. I could see Cassie again, further off now, spinning slowly with her arms in the air. There was nothing stiff or shy in the way she danced. It surprised me, honestly. She moved with ease
