Cassie's POV. I sat in Nathan's car, my hands folded on my lap as the city passed in blurred stretches outside the window. Turning slightly, I thanked him for joining me to the police station despite his busy schedule. He only shrugged, the corner of his mouth lifting as if it was hardly anything worth thanking him for.
