Cassie's POV. The beach looked beautiful under the sunset, casting a warm golden light that stretched across the waves like melted honey. People were already buzzing with energy, with music thrumming in the air and laughter rising from every direction. I stood near the bonfire pit with Sandy, the sand cool beneath my sandals, and the entire stretch of the shoreline lit with string lights and glowing lanterns that swung softly in the breeze.
