Chapter 11
Hobie caught her, but not before the caramel macchiato, cooled by its trip through the air, landed all over both of them.
“Rocky!” Hobie called out as another heavy push hit Presley. This time directly on her bottom.
“Oh!” she exclaimed as she was shoved even further into Hobie’s arms.
“Rocky, stop it,” Hobie said with authority.
Presley’s full body was now pressed into Hobie’s, his arms wrapped around her. She felt him lift her into the air, but not before whoever Rocky was goosed her.
“Oh!” She exclaimed again, though this time the sound was muffled into Hobie’s chest. Her feet dangled as he moved her unceremoniously to his side, placing her back on the ground and stepping forward to intercede with whatever beast was attacking her from behind.
