Aromatic candles scented the warm, inviting space. Lilly’s, a chic spa that had taken over most of Aspen’s high end customers almost a decade ago was all shining wood surfaces and soft, white pillows with occasional mirrors reflecting glittering candlelight. Soothing piano music filled the air, but not so loud that it intruded on their conversation. The five friends were well into the chocolate pedicure segment their spa day, which included rich, chocolate scented buttery cremes being rubbed into their feet and calves before their toenails were painted.
