What a weird guy - Chapter 1

"It seems that you've been hit by a train after a person pushed you to the tracks.."

"What." Says by a bewildered soul.

"Why would someone do that to me?" He added a question.

"It was simply out of envy. It was your coworker who did it." The dark silhouette answered. "I don't get why you humans would do such heinous acts.."

"Who are you?"

"I am one of those who rules your home world, to put it simply out, I'm a god." The silhouette answered. "I don't need to tell you who am I because soon, you'll forget it."

The soul remains silent, he looks around the white environment. "This is a dream, right? I should be in a hospital, right now." He spoke out in hopes of he'll wake up soon.

"That is right, you're in a coma."

"C-coma?.."

"Bran, or whatever your name is, I will grant you a temporary life, time in your homeworld works very slow compared to others."

"Others? Wait, there's another planet with life in it?" His face sparks joy.

"Realm." The god corrected him. "I will find you a very exciting life, your current life is simply very boring to the looks of it. You barely found true love and action from this." The god laughs, and that made Cosmo very angry and humiliated.

"Off you go now." The god hurries him to the door. "You will be a baby, and then run into some trouble or amusement when you're older then I'll bring you back to your former life when I'm satisfied." The god sounded thirsty, it seemed like they never at all left this domain.

Cosmo walked towards the door, he didn't get any strange feeling from it so he opened it very slowly.

Darkness, that's all he saw for a few seconds.

He opened his eyes to a woman cooing and rocking him back and fort.

"Where am I.. woah, am I in a cavern or some sort?" He thought to himself.

He looks around the place with a blank expression.

And then it hit him. He was gonna have a new life. A new and fun one. "Hehe.. I'm going to find true love and live a peaceful life too." But he remembered what the God told him.

He started to tear up, "Nonononono, I don't wanna cause trouble."

"Mmm, hush little Cosmo, Momma's here.." The woman whispers to him while rocking him back and fort.

"Well, whatever my life will be, I'll try to enjoy my years as a baby." He says in his thoughts.

Cosmo, his new name, started to yawn and then his mother lays him down a crib.

"Sleep well my little man. I will be back." And with that, she walks away to fetch something.

Years went by, and he was in his 4th birthday.

"Wow.. time flies by really fast, I'm now four years old!" He picks himself up from his bed after waking up and then looks at his reflection. He was a very short child with messy and short straight black hair. "Wow, I look better than my old life as a child." He had eyes, they were always mistaken as black ones but it was actually a very dark blue with a few tints of light blue in them. Hertha, his mom, told him that his eyes reminds her of the clear night sky. He then walks out from his room and descends the stairs.

"Happy birthday Cosmo!" His mother greeted him after he descends down the stairs with a happy grin plastered on his pretty face.

"Thankyou mommy" Although his mental age was as old as a 25 year old man, he needed to pick his choice of words wisely.

His mother raises him high in the air. "You've grown up, I love you so much little man.." She then showers him with light kisses on his face.

His mother turned out to be a single mother. His father, a nobleman left her after he found out they were having a child. It was really sad for his mom but she moved on quickly after realizing that she'll be fine without him. She is a very independent woman after all.

"Say, you're gonna start going to school very soon." His mother says while preparing something he can't see. "Want to learn about magic? You might be able to use it." His mother adds with a smile on her face.

"I'm.. You use magic?" He asks and then his mom laughs.

"Of course little man! I only know the basics." She answers and then pets his head gently. "Why don't you go and roam around the house? I'll give you something later."

He nods his head and then ventures out to the garden.

"Hmm... I want to go farther," He says and then walks off to the woods behind his house. "I wonder why we don't have neighbors.." He thoughts to himself and keeps walking. He focuses his eyes on the ground until he bumped into something solid.

"Awe-" He looks at the tree and then hears bushes rustling nearby. He hides behind a thick tree and then sees to what looks like a tall human with long and pointed ears. Their hair was the color of silver, and their eyes.. He couldn't take a look at them because they were covered by the man's hair. "He's so pretty, I bet that he's an elf.." He thinks to himself with a bewildered expression on his face.

The elf suddenly stops moving and then looks around the place, as if he was thinking that someone was watching him.

"Oh, it's a child.." The elf whispers under his breath and then looks away so he wouldn't scare the kid. He shakes off his head and then walks away.

After a few moments passed by and he couldn't hear his mom's voice calling out to him because his mind was clouded with the elf's appearance.

"It's impossible, I thought elves were long extinct. Mom told me that elves were on the verge of disappearing from the face of the Earth." It was because be concluded that.

His mom grabs him by his shoulder and then asks. "What are you doing here Cosmo? What's wrong?" Hertha shakes him so he comes back to his senses.

"I think, I saw an elf." He answers with a smile on his face.

His mom's eyes sparkled and then drags him home. "That is amazing! tell me the whole story" It seemed like his mother forgot about Cosmo disappearing.

"I wandered off because I was chasing something and then an elf walked out from the woods! He was so pretty." Cosmo answers with a smile on his face.

"What happened next?"

"He walked off, mom, I thought elves were extincted." He answered with an upset voice.

"I'll tell you a story about that when you're older. It is a very scary story about why.." His mom talked and then brings him a cake.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY, COSMO!" She greets him once again and then hugs him after placing down the cake on the wooden table. Cosmo hugs back.

After a month of his birthday, his mom is sending him to school. "I'm sorry that I decided to have our house really far from the village." She says in an apologetic tone.

"It's fine mom! I like our huge garden!" He speaks up with an ear to ear smile.

They set off walking, tree by tree, it felt like they were walking for almost an hour but it felt like a few minutes before they were greeted by people riding horses.

"Momma, my legs hurt, should we get horses too?"

Hertha laughs and then says "Maybe soon, just keep wishing that momma can get a raise from my job, ok?"

Cosmo nods his head and then keeps walking towards their school.

"Make friends, okay Cosmo? and also enjoy your first day of school." His mom bid him goodbye as he walks towards the gates.

There were alot of children running around their playground area and playing.

"Woah, this school is fancy!" He smiles.

After a few hours, it was the end of classes and Cosmo barely made a friend because children were afraid of his eyes. They found his eyes weird.

He sighs and then walks out from the school, he was upset no one wanted to talk to him. But then again, he didn't need friends this early, yet.

He walked to thw woods again and saw the elf once again. He blurted out, "H-hello... I'm Cosmo!" to the elf nearby.

The elf looked shocked after turning around to face the boy.

"You.. why are you here." The elf speaks out.

"I want to b-" before he could finish his sentence, the elf runs off.

"Huh???" He just wanted to befriend the silver haired man. "Well that was weird.." He walks back to the school gates to wait for his mom.
