“Will’s looking a lot better. We might be able to go home soon.” My father says hopefully as we walk towards the conference room.
“Thanks to us.” Lara gloats in my head. “I really hope this meeting is quick so we can get back to him. I can’t wait to help him heal some more.” She adds in a gleeful tone. I hear Brody say something in response to my father but I can’t tell what he said because of Lara. I nod my head in agreement anyway but I could be agreeing to anything.
“If I wasn’t desperate to go home and see Mum, I would be tempted to drag this meeting out for as long as possible, to get you back for that stunt that you just pulled.” I say jokingly to my wolf, as I continue to completely ignore Brody.
